Get rid of roberto wallace and keep this phillip limas kid!!!

and to think people wanted braylon edwards. just a name with a crappy offield disposition.

Wallace has elite attributes. Raw technical attrubites..

Hes a developmental player with huge upside.

Livas had a punt return for a TD. Doesnt make him a roster lock.

yeah but if you watch the long tape put up in another thread you will notice that 1) He is consistent throughout his career 2) He took 9 returns to the house
That alone is worth noting. Duly noted that he needs to do more. His problem is he falls down on his own from being so fast/quick. He trips over himself alot, but in the process he brings out to the 35 anyways. This dude has vision. He is exciting to watch. I thought thats what the neg nillys wanted.

So Livas runs a punt back for a TD against 3rd stringers who will be working at Walmart and UPS next week, and this guy wants him in Canton?

I LOVE OUR FANS, BABY!!!!! :hump:

another note though.

teams will just kick to back of endzone and not let him return it on KR.

It's a generalization. He wants to make him a starter after 1 good play against non-NFL players. If he has a good game, he should be in Canton using that logic.

No.. I like livas so far but if anyone is getting cut is Moore.. I think Roberto Wallace will be a good NFL WR

Livas will most likely replace Marlon Moore.

I'd be okay with this before Livas for Wallace. I think Marlon Moore is completely useless.

Wallace has potential and actually creates some WR depth. Livas is so small who knows about injuries..which leaves Wallace with more upside from the get go.... Why would you cut him?

Well technically the original poster did. He said Livas was the next Mel Gray and that he should be in the hall

What I liked about Livas in the Atlanta game was that everytime, and I mean everytime, he received a punt or kickoff, it just seemed like he could take it to the house. Sure, he trips and goes down too easily sometimes, but let that hand to the ankle miss, or he regains balance before tripping and he's gone. My prediction: It may not be a TD, but he will have a huge return in every preseason game in which he handles the punt or kick, that is if his hamstring issues don't hobble him.

Wallace has all the physical tools to be great if we keep developing him. I just want to see a little more fire/passion from him, which hopefully we will once he gets more playing time. Livas has some exciting potential as a returner for us, but I wouldn't keep him over Wallace. If Livas houses another return, we keep 6 WRs.

WTH is going on here. The kid has had one punt return, all be it a very good one, against 3rd stringers, and you're ready to throw away a guy who's upside is of the charts for him. Apparently in camp he's doing zero as a WR, he's along way behind Wallace in that aspect of the game.

Livas has a chance to make the 53 if we decide to keep a specialised returner, but I can't see that happening personally, at best he may make the practice squad.

Just because it was third stringers on offense and defense doesn't mean it was third stringers on special teams.

P Livas was also a running back in college. I look at him as a Dante Hall or D Sproles. We need at least one or two big plays out of the return game per season and he is the answer. He tied the NCAA record with 8 return TD's in college.

He is the reason I said I doubt we will see R Bush returning punts.
