2 words: Lydon Murtha. This guy is terrible! 3 bad penalties, two of them basically killing efficient Miami drives. There's no way in hell this guy should make the 53 man roster. Can't have this idiot costing Miami pts in the regular season. Does anyone actually think he won't be cut?

He absolutely won't be cut. He had some bad penalties, but is a decent backup. Had a good game last week, had some good/bad moments tonight. Doesn't warrant a cut imo. He'll even give Columbo a run for his money.

He definitely isn't Jake Long at LT, but he held up well tonight in pass protection. He really has come a long way from the "swinging door" he was when he first got here. I would be SHOCKED to see him cut. No chance in hell at this point, way too much upside.

I haven't watch tonights game yet, but I swear that half of the time I looked at the drive summary on nfl.com during the game, I'd see that we had a penalty, and that it was Murtha's fault...

It wasn't his best night, due to the penalties, but you just don't cut a guy who has been holding down the LT spot for a couple of penalties . . . that doesn't make any sense. Especially when Henne wasn't sacked the entire night and he is protecting Henne's blind side.

And we have run better towards the left IMO

Murtha sucks. He sucked last year and sucks just as much this year. If he ever gets in the game when it counts, we're in trouble period

No thanks. This guy can actually block, which I can't say for a lot of guys on this team. The penalties have got to go, but I'm not cutting our best depth at T. Kid looks massively improved from last year, where he looked abysmal.

He's a backup and a good one, another yr under his belt and he will be a good starter.....he will not give Columbo a run for the RT positon, Columbo is a solid RT and will be the starter week 1....The OL is good and will be real good by week 6-7 as long as they can stay healthy

All of our big runs came from the left side plus he was blocking the panthers only DE, charles Johnson. He'll learn to bring the penalties down

He's a quality back-up linemen. He just needs to slow down the penalties.

wasnt it Murtha who was the revolving door when we were getting kicks blocked last year? if he is progressing, i am all for keeping him. He has size and could be a decent backup. If he is progressing, im all for keeping him as our 3rd OT, im giving up on expecting him to become a starter though.

Are you drunk?

Were we watching the same game? I was about to post a thread titled "Mutha>Columbo". Yeah he had those penalties, but I was watching him all game and I swear this guy ran his defender clear into the linebackers. Look at the highlights for some of the longer runs and keep an eye on Mutha. Dude beasted on those fat boys...
