Get Rid of This Murtha Focker!

He will not be cut because he can actually play. If the penalties continue though, it will get him cut. Negative plays help no one.

I think for some folks on this these threads they only have a list of the roster names they cut and paste from and the letters S-U-C- and K that actually work on their keyboards

Columbo is our starter at RT? Wrong. Murtha will be the starter at RT. Yes he had some penalties but I'll live with that in the PS. He did an excellent job pushing defenders all night. Murtha's blocking was some of the best on the OL last night.

Columbo is horrible. He is the worst signing this year.

you sound like your a dolphin employee, /sarcasm off

Wow what a overreaction thread. Murtha was going up against one of the premier pass rushers in the league and doing it at a new position. He did well, with the exception of the penalties. Anyone who wants him cut better get ready to stfu and not complain a damn bit when you have Colombo at starting RT.

He definitely isn't Jake Long at LT, but he held up well tonight in pass protection. He really has come a long way from the "swinging door" he was when he first got here. I would be SHOCKED to see him cut. No chance in hell at this point, way too much upside.

Yeah. I was pretty critical of him based on last season, but now I'm pulling for him to be our RT

I definitely like the upside of Murtha. Unlike most of the over-the-hill injured OL has-beens that this regime has brought in, paying huge $$$, who aren't even on the roster now, Murtha is a huge young guy, who has made huge progress since last year, still has a high ceiling, is very cheap, and who isn't giving up sacks.

Also liked the physicality that Pouncey showed last night. The guy pushed some people around.

I'm still not sure if what I saw on Friday was because it was the Carolina Panthers, or whether the Fins are showing improvement. I think we'll have a better idea of what to expect this year, after they play this weeks game against Tampa Bay.

What I saw in Murtha was pancake driving blocks consistently. In pass protection he was consistently in front of his man.

The hands to face penalty legit, but the holding call where he had hands inside and the DE ran after Henne running he got his jersey snagged. If this were the steelers they wouldnt even notice this. I think these rinky dink holding calls they come up with is just to pick on some rookie. That was a pretty lame call IMO but the other two definites. Hands to the face...would you rather your QB get killed? He was protecting his QB there IMO cus he lost position on him.

Murtha is fine. He is not going anywhere. He has been solid in practice as well from all reports i read.

2 words: Lydon Murtha. This guy is terrible! 3 bad penalties, two of them basically killing efficient Miami drives. There's no way in hell this guy should make the 53 man roster. Can't have this idiot costing Miami pts in the regular season. Does anyone actually think he won't be cut?

How friggin old are you ? Let me put it this way, Murtha WILL NOT BE CUT and he just may be the starting RT. Outside of his penalties he played a dam good game last night against a good quality DE. LOL an friggin idiot calling players idiots. None of us on here are good enough to even sniff players jocks talent wise and some call players idiots ? Another that thinks nothing less then 8 perenial All Pro Lineman are as easy to find as leaves on a tree. You should get our of your dark damp smelly basement fortress every 6 months or so.

I'm rooting for the kid

Why ? He's trying to do his job and if you pricks on here would shut up for a second he could do it. I love how people on all these NFL forums criticize these players but you would never cut it out for this. I understand everyone has an opinion but these players have families and put their butts out there. Give them a break for once !

Murtha stays, especially with Long just coming off the PUP. We need depth at tackle period and he will compete for the starting position at right tackle and push the heck out of columbo.
