I need to get something off of my chest. I am really tired of hearing people call us the 1-15 dolphins. Other teams fans, the media even our own fans keep calling us the 1-15 dolphins. We are currently 0-1, though we look much better than last year. We have a completely new coaching staff, a completely new front office, new D and O philosophy, new players at many positions. This is not in any way the same team as last year and I would hope that people would stop saying that we are the 1-15 dolphins.

Right now the team is 0-1 and hopefully we will be 1-1 after next sunday against the Cardinals.

I just had to vent on this. It has been driving me nice. Thank you and now you can return to your regularly scheduled program.

Unfortunately we will be the 1-15 Dolphins until we prove we are not. Do I think we proved that we are better? Of course. Does ESPN and especially Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic? Of course not. The Media and other teams fans will keep referring to us as the 1-15 Dolphins until we beat a good team and put together a small win streak imo.

Respect will be gained when the team earns it. Seats in the stadium will be filled when they are filled. ESPN talking heads for a number of years straight said we were SB bound and, guess what? Didn't help. They will stop talking junk when we take that junk and cram it back down thier smug throats, and, not before.

Exactly what I was getting at :hi5:. As far as I'm concerned we haven't earned to be the 0-1 dolphins yet as far as big time media is concerned. Week 15 comes along and were in contention for AFC East championship, we will get mention.

Yeah...i mean watching the highlights all they are showing are the Farve highlights nothing from us except the INT at the end of the game. And greeny said he had no business winning that game well 1 thats him being a homer 2 who says we didnt deserve to win that game if we had pulled it off. Even WHEN we get to 2 wins here quick they will be like they improve but still arent any good. But if we all lasted through last season with faith and passion then a tough loss to start the season then we should be fine.

WE get the cards next week it should be a good game....i dont see them being able to get much pressure and us getting pressure all day their line because its suspect and i think ours will be better. Yes their O can be nasty but pressure can negate that. and since they wont have a pass rush we can have a more balanced attack i foresee another good game.

Unfortunately we are what we, until we prove otherwise. Yesterdays game was a mistake filled adventure. We missed blocks, overthrew receivers, and blew coverage assignments. That said I think significant progress was made. We know we are not the team that went 1-15 last year, the Dolphins know this too. However until we prove that to the media, and the rest of the football world, we will be that team in their eyes. We have alot of young players on the team. We have essentially a new offensive/defensive line, but they played hard, tough, and with alot of intensity. We as Dolphins fans know we have something to look forward to the rest of the season, who cares what the media thinks.

Please...Really, take everything Greeny and Golic say with a grain of salt. Even if we win the next 15 games of the regular season, we will still not be improved according to those 2...

People still don't get that ESPN syndicated radio is all about gaining market share. Greenie/Golic is entertainment first. It's meant to be inoffensive enough for AM drive time. They reset every stroy on the hour, with the same schtick each time. The only thing breaking the monotiny is the occasional interview or unfunny but inoffensive comedy spot. IT's meant to be a "Family" sports show so soccer moms can listen with thier kids on the way to school.

Say what one will....ESPN radio does a great job picking hosts for thier particular timeslot. The exception is the awkward Scott Van Pelt/Mike Tirico abomination that isn't good at anything other than smalltalk.

I've ageed with you alot this morning but I cannot force myself to agree with you here. However I agree with the AM entertainment part, me personally, I'd prefer not to listen to them. Greeny is a Jets fan, he admits that himself, and Golic, well he just hates us i guess, I dont know. But all the Dolphins nonsense is expected, theres tons of other things that they say that makes me not listen to them though.

Bill Parcells said 'you are what your record says you are'. This is year one of the rebuilding process and there is reason for optimism, but there are still problems to be overcome.

I think you just agreed with me again. If you didn't notice, I was pretty nasty in my opinion of them. I've listened enough to radio (Was in the industry for a while in the day a little bit) to know what schlock is. Fact is; Those guys draw rateings. They are not targeted at hard core sports fans. They are the equivilent to "Morning Zoo" radio.

Greenie is a Jets fan and, he's pretty open about that. I personally respect that. Don't try to hide it, just say who you ares. Golic HATES Miami because Schula cut him.....HE also has hard feelings agasint Philly. Bottom line; He's a marginal run stuffing DT that managed to stick around for a while because of all the talent around him.

YOU may not like them....I may not like them...But, alot of people do. Mike/Mike is targeted at a broad audience, not the hard core fan. HArd core sports radio is nearly unlistenable as well.

This Dolphins team looks much better than 1-15 CamCam Dolphins, to say the very least. I just don't know how you will go around the roadblock that is Pennington, but other than that... this team looks promising in many areas. True, you will need a true NT in a few years (Jason Ferguson getting up there with his age, you know) but I gotta say, I was impressed with Merling and Langford. Add in a few good drafts, and you'd be all set.

Last but not least; looks like you guys are being too harsh on Jake Long. Remember Jets drafted D'Brickashaw Ferguson with 4th pick overall a few years ago, and the Jets had exactly same problem you guys witnessed with Long. LT is quite possibly the most difficult position to master, because more than likely, he'd going to be on an island all by himself, and to make the matter worse, most of the premier passrushers are coming from his side. It will take time for him to adjust to NFL speed. Give him a few years (like 3?) and you guys will be grateful that he's playing for you.

I thought that Long did great for his first game besides that stupid tripping penalty. I don't like all the mental mistakes our team made especially the safeties.

Talk about luck - if their kicker isn't hurt they try for a field goal. Instead of going for it on 4 and goal we kick a field goal to tie. Then we kick a field goal to win.

But I am tired of everyone thinking this is the same team as last year.

I don't get you guys saying we need to "earn respect" when it comes to the media and analysts. They need to do their jobs and give an unbiased report on who is good and who is bad. Respect has nothing to do with it. I don't care what they say but its getting old hearing the same old crap when you know we're so much better of a team than last year.

They do need to earn respect from other players and coaches but the media needs to report the facts.

You're right, we did agree again :hi5:.
