1. Robert Nkemdiche DT/DE- I think we've argued all we could with this player, definite BOOM or BUST, but he is one of the most talented players in this draft and will start right away next to Suh and gets some veterans in his ear in Wake/Mario/Suh that should open his eyes to what he can achieve in this league.

2. Artie Burns CB- Press corner with great size and length and great closing speed. I think Vance Joseph unlocks this guy's true potential and starts opposite of Maxwell; with our revamped pass rush and solid safety tandem over the top, I don't mind taking some lumps with Burns learning on the fly. We are still mentioned as a possible suitor to Leon Hall as well, so if we can have some vets in the secondary taking him in under their wing, I think the sky's the limit for Burns. Maxwell/Burns/Hall?/McCain/Taylor/Lippett is a solid enough group to start the year.

3. Alex Collins RB- Tough runner, always churning, great instincts and vision, love the way this guy runs as he's always looking for the next yard and can take and give hits. Jay Ajayi and Alex Collins are a good looking 1-2 punch and the RB battle in training camp should be one of the more interesting story lines this year to see who grabs that 3rd back spot.

4. Sebastion Tretola G- Stout guard that comes in and gives our younger guards a run for their money. Strong and big, something we desperately need to add to our group of lineman.

5. Antwione Williams ILB- 6'3 245, looks the part of an ILB, good tackler, looks to be pretty athletic for such a big guy. Plays downhill and fills in his gap responsibilities well.

6. TBD

I'm not in favor of Robert Nkemdiche, but there's no denying his talent. Not sure if Miami would be the best spot for him in terms of leadership on the team, lots to do in Miami social scene etc. But, if he gets motivated and puts it all together he could be the best DT from this deep DT draft.

I might go Jarran Reed there. Doesn't offer much in the passing game, but tremendous against the run, great in pursuit and makes a lot of plays. He's also said to be a leader. I think he'd be a great complement to Suh with Phillips perhaps rotating in on passing downs.

I like the upside of Artie Burns and agree with you that Joseph could get a lot out of his ability. I think he will go through growing pains in year 1, but most corners do anyway. Love the pick.

Alex Collins is one of my favorite backs from this class.

I also think the Dolphins will look offensive line later than fans expect, maybe as high as third round.

NoblePhin what are your thoughts on some of the linebackers Miami is looking at? In particular the team has shown a lot of interest in Su'A Cravens and Jordan Jenkins.

I like both of those linebackers but I dont think Cravens is there at 42 and I dont think Jenkins should be drafted at 42. I like some of the later round projected backers because most of them are like hybrid players like Travis Freeney with great range. I think thats whats missing most in our lineup, someone that can run with athletic tightends, blitz, or mop up outside runs.

I hear what your saying, but I do not think the guy wants it and is just in it for a paycheck. I do not think he has the work ethic and I think he is going to be a classic underachiever.

Yeah, I agree. Unfortunately, I don't know how much Miami can count on Alonso. I love him if healthy, but that's been a tough deal for him. Linebacker remains a pretty big need IMO.

In my mocks, I keep coming up with better options each round than at linebacker. I don't know much about the later picks at that position. I'll take a look at Freeney as far as highlights go.

By the way, I just saw that Daniel Jeremiah mocked Burns at #25 overall. My order of preference (not counting Ramsey) is Hargreaves, Alexander, Apple, Jackson and Burns. I think Apple and Jackson are pretty close.

Alex Collins college tape is really fun to watch. He's a truly skilled and super experienced running back. His stride looks exactly the same every time, no wasted movement at all, extremely decisive. You can tell he's been running the ball for a long time as soon as you turn the tape on.

With that said I don't know if I like how he projects to the NFL, and i think whoever we draft at RB, needs to be strong, and violent. And thats just not Collins game at all.

I'm almost considering Josh Howard in the second for rb but I still feel defense should be the main prority this draft.

Would you take Derrick Henry if he fell to Miami's pick in R2? That's the tough one for me. Agree with you on the defense as this looks like the draft to load up on that side of the ball. May have to go corner R1 based on some of the latest mocks.

Henry runs too upright for me, I just keep remembering Danoel Thomas running upright and getting blasted and getting concussions and fumbling. Are they the same player, no, but that style concerns me in the NFL.

I think tretola fits a power scheme the best...i dont like the move athlete for our scheme but i do like the physicality on contact...and i think if he does get out of round 3 your projection of early round 4 makes sense

One thing to mention that factors in with Tretola is that we have a great pulling center in Pouncey, which makes me more focused on Tretola handling his man at the POA. RG is naturally the bull of the line and so with the ability of Pouncey to move so well, I think it mitigates the need for him to be more athletic.
