How can people honestly say that the Dolphins should get rid of Daunte Culpepper after he plays 4 games, goes 1-3, and throws 3 interceptions?

I think we can agree that this team is not as good as most thought it was...so how can we still blame Culpepper for the fact that this team is 1-6?? The games that Harrington and Culpepper have played have been almost mirror images of each other...the Dolphins are in the game with a decent chance to win, but just enough mistakes are made to ensure a loss. Whether those mistakes are made by the defense or the offense is immaterial. It simply means that the Dolphins are not a good team.

The bottom line is that you do not get rid of a former Pro Bowl quarterback who is 30 years old, that you just gave up a 2nd round pick for...after 4 starts.

Joey Harrington, on the other hand, has never been anything besides what he is showing right now...inconsistent and sloppy. While Culpepper threw one unforgivable, awful interception against Buffalo, Harrington has thrown 4 of the same type in 3 games.

We need to get DC healthy and pray like hell he comes back in 2004 form. Otherwise its going to be a long decade.

I feel you are absolutely correct in your assessment. I'm also absolutely sure there will be many posters that will tell you that Duante is washed up.

It's fan logic. I'm sure people are still blaming the losing on Daunte.

yea i dont get how can ppl blame cpep......... he did what he could ....... he coodnt do much cuz he was laying on that shoulder every other snap

Yes get rid of Daunte so the Qb BS can stop let him go to the Raiders and hopefully all his fans follow him there...sick of arguing about QB's when this teams problems are so much more than that.

There are so many problems with this team outside of the QB position. The defense is aging poorly, the offensive line has not been a priority for any of the last three coaches (JJ, Wannstedt, or Saban), the one area of the defense where we have some youth, the secondary, has been a disgrace.

Sadly, these do not look like one year fixes. Seems like it will take longer than one offseason to fix things, as usual. Too bad we are going to have to give up our 5th round pick for Harrington.

Bottom line in the NFL...teams with good offensive lines WIN. Teams with garbage offensive lines LOSE.

Can't blame Culpepper for decisions made by Jimmy Johnson, Dave Wannstedt, and Nick Saban/Randy Mueller.

I'm not one that's going to say get rid of Dante but he's far from a gurentee that he's going to be a stellar QB in the NFL anymore. He's hurt and we don't know if he will ever ne the same QB that he was in 2004 or any other good year he had. I think most of his problems are mental which is what makes me wounder if he can really lead us.

Daunte will be our savior and lead us to 9-7 next year. Year after that 10-6. If we make the playoffs we will our the first round.

Daunte has been a losing QB. I have never wanted this guy. I support him now that he is here, and hope like hell he can become great. But I just don't believe he will be anything more than a guy that puts up major stats on weak teams and drops the ball against the good ones.

I still just look at how Minnesota has done since his departure and how the Lions have done since the departure of Harrington. This is not to say that Harrington is our savior but I don't think Daunte is either.

The Lions are 1-6 since Harrington left. Still a bad team.

The Vikings are 11-4 since Daunte left. When Daunte played last year he was 2-5 only beating the Saints and Green Bay who were two of the worst teams in the NFL.

please stop predictions
it really makes all fans(especially us) look like *****
every fan on this site picks us to win, we're 1-6 thats pathetic
stop all predicting!

when you have 2 seconds to throw the ball it is hard.
why do you think they got that gaurd from seattle who is good.

i wouldnt be suprised if a DC rioter comes to this thread and agrees with the original post.

if you can get daunte to renegotiate his contract than fine lets keep him. if not get rid of him

I think we can agree that Joey and Daunte and Mularkey are not as good as Frerotte and Linehan right now! As far as Daunte better than Joey or vice-versa, who gives a care? We're 1-6~!

thanks for that post, you can get all the yards in the world and go to all the probowls ever...but that doesn't mean s*** when it comes to the Lombardi Trophy.
