I moved from Miami earlier this year and I am now living in Jacksonville, FL. I am trying to find a way to watch the Fins this year without having to go to local sports bars for 12 of the 16 games that most certainly will not be shown here. My house has the Direct TV dish installed but I do not have service. I am a comcast guy, but that is another story. I called Direct TV to order the Ticket but they want me to sign a 2 year contract and that I am not willing to do. Does anyone know of a sattelite service or other that I can get that will pickup WFOR Channel 4 Miami and WSVN 7 Miami? All I care about is getting to watch the Fins and could really care less about getting every game that is playing. Any Ideas or input would be great!!

Go Fins!

Dude you just have to make the sacrifice and get the Sunday Ticket package from Directv. We all have to suffer the consequences of their stranglehold. There isnt an alternative and they pay alot of money to the NFL to keep it that way. Alot of their customers are probably like me and wouldnt have Directv otherwise. They used to be really good actually at customer service and everything. The last 2 years or so they have fallen off drastically. Ive had alot of problems lately. But the picture quality is good and the product itself is not bad at all. Just the customer service has been really bad. But, its just one of the many things I do in life to make sure I get to watch every game. Just pay em the money.

The NFL is making life hard for fans...The only light at the end of the tunnel is...

They will one day do the same thing to Direct Tv that they are not doing to CBS, NBC, ABC, ESPN....The NFL Network will get more and more games.

The NFL knows that Cable companies will provide it with their regular service if they can charge for season game passes. This will happen after the Direct Tv contract expires. The NFL will use both on the next time around. They will make more money that way....

But as for your issue now....Buy the direct tv ticket or suffer as a fan once again. Just like NFL fans are that play video games. EA has a contract with the NFLPA and NFL to be the only one. It sucks but you have to do what you have to do.........;)

I've had the Ticket for a number of years now and that's the only way for me to watch the Dolphins play. I don't like going to the sports bars, so I pay the money.
I don't care to talk to Directv anymore than anybody else, but right now their the best option for me.
I don't buy the 2 year deal, call them back and you'll talk to someone else. It almost seems like you can get a differnet deal everytime you call them.

Hi Steve. I'm up in Fort Collins, finally tried to invest in Direct TV; couldn't get a signal because of the cottonwoods.

Hey,
Send me a PM and we can get together for the season. I've got 6 TV's going on Sundays during the season. I know a Dolphins fan up there, they lived right behind my cousin. PM me.

Buy the package. If you have HD capability, get the HD package too. Sucks that you're not up for paying for 2 years, but you may find you love it and probably would sign up anyways next year. I live in Orlando and HATE the Jags because Jacksonville flagged Orlando as home team area and so we get a few Fin games only and then they're usually delayed or cut off early!

If you can afford it just get the Sunday Ticket, I have had it for about 5-6 years now. If you can't afford it, try watching the game at Dave and Busters. Its not as crowded as all the other sports bars and they don't have the Jags game blasting from the loud speakers.

Just some advice...

You can start making payments for the ticket in advance. That usually helps lighten the load a little bit. They normally give you a better deal if you order the package early.

I hate DirecTv as much as the next guy. But you really cant beat the ticket. Especially if you have a 60 inch HD tv in your living room.
