What does this mean for the Dolphins? As the team that picks right before the Giants we could be trade partners with a team wanting to get in front of the Giants.
Why? I presume that you're aware that over a long period of time, the team trading down statistically has got the better end of the deals. I'd love to show you some data but I haven't got it. For every Julio Jones success, there are more RG3s and Dion Jordans. Negotiators like Mike Tannenbaum are fully aware that the stats historically favor the team trading down.I think it's more likely that Tannenbaum tries to trade up.
I also think that any rumored interest by teams in specific players right now is 100% smoke screen.
If Tannenbaum really wants to make a splash, he'd trade up for Jamal Adams, if he somehow slips.
Another strong safety?
Hooker, okay, sure...

Out of curiosity, has Tannenbum ever traded down?
Last season's draft with the Eagles
I mean, Adams is more of a natural SS, but he's interchangeable. He's really twitchy. Obviously I have my doubts that he can become a CF'er, but he has that Sheriff "Do as I Do" attitude. I truly believe he is an interchangeable safety. Hooker is definitely a FS, ball skills are on point, but he can't tackle worth a damn, maybe that was in part to him being a basketball player for so long.
maybe... but I'd rather take Hooker personally. I'm curious where Adams will go... I doubt top 10. maybe top 15?
