Tim Graham, of ESPN.com, reports Miami Dolphins S Gibril Wilson said during a local radio interview that the team's secondary can be the best in the NFL. "The best secondary in the league," Wilson told station WQAM. "I think we're going to be a very tight-knit group, and I think we can be the best secondary in the league if we all just put our heads together and put the talent together and make it happen."

I have to agree. Miami will be drafting some corners in this draft and are also looking at Safeties. Our secondary will be really upgraded by TC and a young Corner ( Darius Butler, Sean Smith or Michael Jenkins) opposite to Will Allen could really help this team. Include coach Bowles coaching and Wilson who I think is an upgrade over Hill and I think Miami secondary could be just fine this year boys.

We all know the Corner position is very weak right now, but I think drafting one of these young Corners coming out Miami can really help themselves. Especially if it is a guy like Darius Butler, Sean Smith, Alphonso Smith or DJ Moore. Miami has one of the best secondary coaches in the league and I think the guy will reall help guys lke Green and Nate Jones excel. Hey who knows maybe Bowles gets our of Green what he got out of Goodman and remember Green is one year away from being slapped with a 1st round tender.

Sean Smith or Alphonso Smith in the 2nd round would be very nice.

Sure would be nice if he's right, considering the offenses we're about to face this upcoming season.

I would hope he would say that...... What's the alternative? .... "our secondary is not that good..... others are much better.." If we want to have ballers on the the team, they have to be confident.... Hopefully, they'll be able to back it up.

if wilson firmly believes that, it means that he really sees a bright future for his former volunteer teammate jason allen, because he can't be that optimistic about a guy like eric green and all the other guys we have... (we know we have bell and w.allen, but there's that hole at the other corner spot... )

wether he speaks the truth or not, his presence might lift J.Allen's confidence/swagger up a notch... which is kinda good considering how he failed thus far in his football career.... his confidence must be hammered

We should have signed Bodden or McFadden but oh well. I really hope Vonte Davis slides to us he would be a great pick. But besides him the best cover CB in the draft is DJ Moore, then Daruis Butler and Al Smith. Sean Smith can play CB but I see someone drafting him and making a S out of him. He has great size though and is quick. If we can pick up 1 of these guys and then get a guy later in the draft like Mark Parsons from Ohio. Who is one of my fav guys in the draft . He is a Champ Bailey clone. Teams only threw at him 1.7 times a game. He is a true shutdown corner and will prob be there in the 3rd maybe 4th round. Macho Harris, Coye Francis, Byrd, and Keenan Lewis could be 2nd day picks that could make a diff. We def need someone on the other side of Allen and I think Allen is in his final year of his contract. So 2 CB in this draft and a S would be a good thing. MAybe take Moore, Johnson, or Delmas in the 2nd could be a steal. GIbril Wilson can be a difference maker on this team he just needs help

usually when they know they have a crap secondary they would say. "Were working hard everyday to get better. blah blah blah"

We don't all know that nor agree with your assessment.
Will Allen is one of the most under rated CB's in the league. If he could catch he would be a pro bowler. His coverage is way above average.
The other side is just average, but their is quality depth.
That is a far cry from being "weak". There is a lot of middle ground between exceptional and weak.
Very few teams have the luxury of having 2 above average CB's. Look at our own division. You can probably name 1-2 good players in the seconday of any team, but it usually stops there. Most backups no one has ever heard of. Look at the names of the starting CB's for the Pats last season?
The Pats FO was so impressed they brought in an over the hill Springs and Bodden (who had failed to play up to his previous FA contract)

This just in.....
Gibril Wilson has now been selected to take part in the NFL's drug testing program due to his statements.

Standard player BS interview talk. The guy signed a nice contract with us and wants everyone to believe now that he is here in the line up we will magically have a top 3 secondary. I am glad he is opptimistic but seriously he hasnt even set step on the field with his new teammates yet. Maybe if he was someone from the team that was returning from last year, I might put a little more stock into it.

We may have a hard hitting secondary thanks to our safeties but we do not have the best secondary. I don't think it's as an outlandish claim especially if we can score Butler, Smith, Davis, or Jenkins in the draft. With both Randy Moss and TO in our division, we're going to need a big physical corner who's got speed as well.
