Ive been a Giants fan for awhile and ive been keeping tabs on Gibril wilson. Some of you guys feel he is the worst safety ever but honestly gibril is very good. The guy has the most tackles by any safety in the las 5 years plus hes been a starter since he came into the league and he has a superbowl ring so guys gotta chill out. I know he hasnt been performing up to his fullest abilities this yr but you guys gotta understand hes naturually of a ss than a fs. He can still play fs but i feel you gotta give him a lil bit more time to adjust to his postion. you dolphin fans are so quik to jump the gun after 3 games. I remember most of you guys was bashin henne a couple weeks ago, now hes the new dan marino off of 1 game. All im sayin is that ive seen Gibril play every game since his giant days and ive been very impressed..Do you think hell get signed all that money for nothing? you guys gotta relax. Trust me hell come around sooner than later
 
Thanks for the insight...I agree...I think he needs a little more time...it may be a little rocky for him for most of this season, but I think he will be ok
 
He is dead terrible. Hopefully QB's cant find the man he is covering before getting sacked cause if they do we r in trouble.
 
If he was so good why did the Giants let him go? He has to be one of the worst tacklers I've seen at safety....the guy sucks.
 
Just tackle baby!!!! The guy cannot do the #1 job of a defender, tackle the guy with the ball!!! Needs to stop going for the big hit!!!!
 
i really think we dont need gibril.... he should take a pay cut this summer or get cut and we should use that money towards a real star who needs it on our team(ronnie brown)

I have seen him play for 4 games and he has palyed worse than our bust of a 1st round pick Jason Allen. The fans on here will tell you, that's saying something. I understand it's only 4 games, but I think Gibril has proven that he is NOT a free safety. Apparently he also lost his ability to tackle after converting to Free Safety. The guy can't cover and has been our worse tackler on defense. He is a big part of the reason we are 1-3 and not 2-2 or even 3-1.

In the Chargers game, he was helping Sean Smith on a pass to Nannee (I believe) and somehow both the WR and Smith got behind Gibril Wilson. Gibril was running away from the QB towards the ball. He is supposed to keep the ball in front of him, especially as a free safety. Just saying, the guy is not a free safety and we shouldn't have signed him. It was a mistake the Phins have to live with though.

I hope he turns things around, but I'm nervous to say the least.
 
yea hell be alright i just feel most dolphin fans are bashing the guy but they dont understand how much hes accomplished..i honestly feel y bell has hade the same if not more mistakes than gibril. Im not saying Gibril has no faults but you guys are so quick to say hes the worst player off of three games and technically he only had 1 rl bad game (colts) lol...dolphin fans are funny lol

Through the first 4 games, the guy has blown at least one or two makeable tackes every game. If I could get Renaldo Hill back, I would do it in a second. Wilson is garbage.
 
cuz his contract was up and another team offered him big money...how is he the worst when he has had the most tackles for a safety in the past years?
 
He's hopefully just in a funk, but these athletes have fradgile minds, when they keep screwing up they sometimes never get back because they loose confidence. Remember Mike Vanderjack, i know hes just a kicker but he was one of the best until he missed that field goal in the playoffs. He couldn't even last in the cfl after that. Or in Base Ball with Dantrel Willis, once you loose ur confidence there is somethimes no coming back.
 
He's regressed since you've seen him.. and I watched him play for NYG also and was excited to get him. At this point, he really does need to go back to Tackle Academy to get his GED.
 
I hope that the OP is right and he is going to come back strong. However, from what I have seen in the first four games, the guy doesnt look good at all. In the Colts game he had his man wrapped up and failed to bring them down twice and they scored TD's that ultimatly cost us the game. Yesterday, he had the running back wrapped up with both arms and both legs and still just slid off like an egg on a teflon pan.
