Ive been a Giants fan for awhile and ive been keeping tabs on Gibril wilson. Some of you guys feel he is the worst safety ever but honestly gibril is very good. The guy has the most tackles by any safety in the las 5 years plus hes been a starter since he came into the league and he has a superbowl ring so guys gotta chill out. I know he hasnt been performing up to his fullest abilities this yr but you guys gotta understand hes naturually of a ss than a fs. He can still play fs but i feel you gotta give him a lil bit more time to adjust to his postion. you dolphin fans are so quik to jump the gun after 3 games. I remember most of you guys was bashin henne a couple weeks ago, now hes the new dan marino off of 1 game. All im sayin is that ive seen Gibril play every game since his giant days and ive been very impressed..Do you think hell get signed all that money for nothing? you guys gotta relax. Trust me hell come around sooner than later

He better come around with the money he's getting. He missed a big tackle a player like him should have had against the Colts giving them a touchdown. He missed another for a big play yesterday too. He better bring it against the Jets

Gibril sucks. Apparently, he left his ability to tackle properly in New York. Again, he sucks.

If he was only making improper reads in the secondary, I would lend some credence to what you said. But the change in position doesn't account for his inability to tackle.

He has no nose for the ball, is an awful tackler and lets receivers get behind him. To me, a "good safety" is a guy who is a very strong tackler, especially on run support, and doesn't get beat deep very often, whereas Wilson misses tons of tackles and gets beat deep constantly. There is a clear drop-off from Y. Bell to him, and Bell isn't even close to being an elite safety.

It's strange, I remember him with the Giants. I was born in NY and watch most of their games.
I thought it was a great pick-up, but he is not playing good. I think he should be benched. There were missed tackles AGAIN this past week.
They should give the speedy, promising rookie some of his playing time.
The missed tackles are not acceptable. Safeties have to be sure tacklers, it is their job to be the last line of defense. If he can't consistantly tackle he shouldn't be out there. Especially not when the game is on the line.

Fact is Gibril has sucked this year and he better get his act together or I think he will be benched after the bye week...

except bell can tackle and aside from some games this year can cover ok...
he has more tackles cause he can't cover. thats the only thing he has left to do. when we played indy, he couldn't do that.

Watch more Dolphins. The Gerbil sucks. We all know of his track record, thus the reason we had high hopes. His track record has not translated to Dolphin football very well. Maybe he just doesn't like it down there, too hot for him maybe.
