I wasn't able to see Sunday's game with Atlanta but, after reviewing the play-by-play I noticed one thing which jumped off the page at me--Play calling!
When Atlanta decided not to attempt a field goal and turned it over on downs with 9+ minutes to go, Linehan blew it! The defense had been on the field way too much in the second half after giving up 3rd down conversion after 3rd down conversion. They were spent. What does Miami do with this gift?
1-10-MIA35(9:21) PENALTY on MIA-R.McMichael, False Start, 5 yards, enforced at MIA 35 - No Play.1-15-MIA30(9:21) G.Frerotte pass to R.McMichael ran ob at MIA 42 for 12 yards (J.Webster).2-3-MIA42(8:55) C.Chambers left end ran ob at MIA 41 for -1 yards (K.Carpenter).3-4-MIA41(8:21) (Shotgun) G.Frerotte pass incomplete to C.Chambers (J.Webster).4-4-MIA41(8:17) D.Jones punts 51 yards to ATL 8, Center-J.Denney, downed by MIA-B.Gilmore.

The penalty hurt but, we're used to that. The pass on the next play worked. Now, on 2nd and 3 they call an end around to Chambers? Haven't we seen that play enough in the past 3 weeks? Then we pass again on 3-4. Wasn't Ronnie and Ricky averaging over 5yds/carry?

After only a minute worth of rest, the Defense had to get right back in.
I'm not an expert but, shouldn't the coaches have tried to spell the defense a little longer than that?
I've noticed others on this forum voice displeasure in the play calling and I reserved judgement until now.

How much has the play calling affected the results so far this season?

The D needs to sit out for more than a minute or so, TOP is underrated in my opinion. Call plays run a slow offense built around the running attack. I think that a drive should look something like this: R-R-P, R-P-R,R-P-P, R-R-P P-R-R etc... (R as in run P as in pass)

Its almost like we were trying to lose. I swear. And I knew that once the double reverse was run in the second quarter on a 2nd and 3, and we lost like 15 yards on the play, that Linehan was an idiot. dont hand off again, no way! cant do that! We do too much of that! Pass 60 % run 40%.
