Just read this and thought it'd add a sobering perspective on the pitchforks and fire that has been surrounding this site.

While some are ready to flush away the season, let's be reminded we are above .500, in the playoff hunt, and getting a lot of key players back.

Lets enjoy the ride!

What? We don't have the long ball! How can we possibly expect to win 9 games let alone 10? lol

Glad to see there's others out there who feel good about us right now

Right on! In case you don't want to read it he has us ranked above the 49rs, Chiefs, and Seahawks for favorable schedule + team to make the playoffs.

If your mind just exploded with the "same ole dolphins" stuff chill out. It'll be ok.

FWIW, Colin Cowherd has us in his top 10 this week, just behind the Packers and he thinks we are a better overall team than the Packers.

I actually talked to him last night on Sirius radio. I waited about 40 minutes and they led in with audio from jags game with pick six. Then they led into my call about the turnovers and field position that we have been getting. He said he liked our chances if we could go 2-2 or 3-1 in the next 4.

Err, what?

Our defense is playing good ball but hold the horses for a minute.

I actually dig Cowherd. He is arrogant but actually seems damn legit with his opinions good or bad. Our D and run game are making us stand out to pundits that understand 2nd half of season football.

Nice man!

Brandt always likes us. He's the the opposite of JLC, Heath Evans and Florio when it comes to Miami. If they're all the same don't they all suck?

Well there are a couple of ways to look at this:

Gil is a successful career operations and scouting professional vs jlc who was a college nerd who interned for free for a few years to get the job, Florio reinvented himself from a failed ambulance chaser fanboi who to his credit parlayed a basement blog of unsubstantiated rumors and innuendos into an nbc corporate entity., and Evans was a run of the mill player who hates the Fins for cutting him by telephone during the season instead of in-person (by Saban of course). Everyone is entitled to their opinions but some are more informed than many others.

OTOH admittedly Brandt predicted that Jacksonville will win 9 or 10 and declared Manziel this draft's best prospect - so regrettably there's that too.

This is why I have always liked Colin Cowherd and respect what he says. Man goes on facts and tells it how it is.

Listen to The Herd every morning. Was actually thinking to myself about how I respect his take on things. He's not afraid to tell it how it is. Sometimes he can stand on his soapbox and harp, but he is very knowledgeable.
