Is it time to start Gillislee? With our O-line problems, a runner with Lamar Miller's skill set gets lost. He's not going to break a tackle and get you a 2-4 yard run when there is little there. I think Gillislee should be given some snaps with the first team. He's a one-cut, North-South runner with good pad level. My only concern would be his ability to pass block and pickup blitzes, but Miller and Thomas have also struggled with that. I would much rather the offense be in 2nd and 7 or 8 rather than 2nd and 10 or 11.

It would be nice if we had some O-linemen up front who could make some holes to run through. Last week's failure to gain yardage running the ball is more a reflection on the O-line difficulties than Lamar Miller's shortcomings. If we had thrown Gillislee in, it would probably have been a similar result.

I agree with line assessment. Contrary to popular belief on this site, Reggie Bush would be struggling behind this line just as much as miller/Thomas. The only RB that could do anything behind our current line is MAYBE Barry Sanders in his prime.

Sit Thomas give the rook his carries

We have 7 weeks left. we know what thomas has which is very little. Has he even been active?

Guys face the facts. Players/coaches are thinking about everything but playing football. Interviews with Wells upcoming, guys on different sides of support, nervousness of who's getting canned etc. we're lucky if we win a another game and that's the cold truth.

Not to say Miller is the ****. But what in the sam hell did Gilleslee show in preseason to justify any playing time?

Miller and Thomas didn't show a hell of a lot either. That's my point. I'm not sure the coaches will know what they have in a player until they put him out there and see what he can do under the lights. Why continue to do the same things that have not been working?
