Ginn for carroll. Marshall for egnew. Bess for gillislie. Davis for taylor#fireland

Don't discount the fact that all players or should I say "most" players need time to develop into a serviceable NFL baller. The thing is now the team, fans & players themselves want instant gratification. I see Ted Ginn,Vonte Davis & others we have discarded at the wrong time this way. It is true that the Fins have been reaching to far for these guys and to us they are a disappointment but when they leave and expectations drop as years pass...they start producing.

Every time Carroll gets on the field I pray that the ball doesn't get thrown his way, and if it does he is ready to make a play.

....Then I realize that God doesn't like the Dolphins

Between a guy who can return kicks and sporadically play on offense, and a guy who can start at CB and has for two seasons without embarrassing his team, I'd say the latter is more valuable. The rest are true though.

Ginn makes one play and people are butt-hurt

turn the page people

It happens every 4 weeks when Ginn has a TD.

I was happy when Ginn was gone, but I dont think hes a terrible player, hesone of the fastest players I've ever seen which makes him dangerous, In fact I remember he basically single handedly beat the Jets with us one game with back to back kickoff returns and I believe he did the same for the 49ers in one game. Obviously he isnt consistent and was the worst #1 receiver we may have ever had but he isnt completely worthless lol

I started to regret not having Davis after the Broncoes game....then I watched him cover Tavon Austin! I feel much better about it now. On austins 3rd TD VD put up so little effort that even I could've gotten closer to making a play.

Ted GinnJr is soft in the eyes of Jonathan Martin

Yeah but who would win if the families got involved?! What a battle Royale that would be!!

I have nothing against Ted Ginn personally, but if you regret 'losing' him, you obviously don't remember seeing him play. He made Mike Wallace so far in Miami look like a go-getter. Never seen such pathetic effort for footballs.

I would take Carroll over Ginn. Everyone on here bashes Carroll yet he plays the number 2 corner spot every week

I never hated Ginn. I just knew it was preposterous to consider him a #1 WR. I was pissed that we traded him for only a 5th. However, as I said in another thread, Carroll has grown into a decent 3rd corner/ back-up CB who, if he starts, can still help you win, as evidenced by 4 of our 5 wins, actually 4 and a half.

Its funny davis and Marshall are the only bad switches I understand if ginn was tearing the nfl up but he has had about three gud games since leaving miami. ... bess has one gud game this season. .. we need to give these rooks time to grow I dont understand why they are on this list... thats the problem with u phins fans... every other week our tani suks or our new corners suk... dion jordan suks... but u forget its a different league in the nfl... everyone takes different times to become good... its like being a freshman all over again it takes time

It's sooooo easy to look back and pick the best players AFTER you made your own..... SMH

At the time:

Ginn SUCKED BAD.
Marshall was a major headache, was looking at suspensions and was not playing well.
Davis was not performing (But I posted how I didn't like the trade).
Gillislee hasn't even had a chance to play yet.

On next weeks episode, Bess catches a 20 yard pass on 3rd and 18 and people call him the next best thing since sliced bread! More at 11!
