I really think we should take a long hard look at Ted Ginn Jr. He would fill 2 immediate needs (WR and KR) and would bring Reggie Bush-like impact to the Fins. We haven't had a true impact, game-changing player in a long time, someone that the other team has to game-plan for. We need someone that makes everyone's heart stop (in a good way) when he touches the ball. I think Mr. Ginn fills that role...

Too bad he hasn't declard yet, so all talk about him is currently moot.

agreed, daunte needs a weapon like that, put chambers in the slot, let welker be your number three pickin up first downs, let ronnie pound the rock, daunte scramble for first downs and there my friend we have one of the most explosive offenses in the league,,,NEXT YEAR.

for those of you who think this is far fetched, well i disagree. the odds of daunte being healthy and stronger are good,he's not going to forget how to play big time football, and if you think he is than i must question your analyzing skills,,if we can just secure ginn lr. in the draft this offense and these players skills complement each other fantasticly.

Not with the #9 pick man no way. Yes he is fast but he is more of a kick returner in the NFL. Smith seems to go to Gonzalez more when looking for a clutch catch. We need a Big OL or DT with that pick. We can find a reciever later unless Calvin Johnson drops in our lap but I doubt he will still be there at 9. Don't get me wrong I like Ginn and I live in ohio and watch all OSU games. He will be a decent NFL reciever but not with the #9 pick IMO.

I see Ginn as another Troy Williamson. Great speed, not too good route running, inconsistent hands.

Don't we already have that in Chambers?

why r people talking like derek hagan can be a playmaker? If he is there in the second round trade champers for that pick and get him.

I agree with ya.Only thing is,If we got Ginn,I think we might let welker go(along with Booker) and Put Hagan in as the #3 WR.Wouldn't bother Much,As Welkers kick returns aren't anything to get excited about.BUT,As a #3 WR,he gives/shows alot of heart i'll say that about him.

Chambers has great speed. Runs a 4.38 40 but I agree his "game" speed seems a lot less than that. At least Ginn does have game speed.

True, true true. It's funny how some of the "slower" receivers in the NFL (T.O, Marvin Harrison, etc.) always seem to get such great separation. It seems like CC is always covered like a blanket, whether he's double-teamed or not. Game speed sure would be nice to have!

very good point ..CC has more speed than marvin harrison and other elite receivers ..speed is just one of the things needed not the only thing ..do you guys remember gadsden ?? he was my favourite he wasnt quick but had super hands and always tried to separate in one way or the other i miss him .

those guys such as t.o n marvin seperate b/c they know how to get away from the corner by using their hands unlike chambers, he doesnt do jack other then run the route hes suppose to and then the corners just follow him and he is covered. If we dont draft a reciever in the first round, we should take that guy who broke jerry rices all time ncaa touchdown record with like teh seventh round pick..... sorry i dont have a name or a link to him.

Marvin Harrison can stop and accelerate better than just about anybody I've seen. He's very smart and he'll put a double move on a corner and blow right by them. I don't think Chambers knows what a double move is.

Look at Anquan Bolden. He ran a 4.68 at the combine and he gets seperation easily on corners because he runs very crisp routes and accelerates so well. The guy gets in and out of breaks very quickly and smoothly. On some of his routes he changes direction and it doesn't look like he slows down.
