Let's say the kid does hold out going into training camp than he sets himself up even more for failure than anything else. Already considered an unpopular decision by fans and teammates alike I don't think that he'll be bettering his cause by doing so. Not to mention that statistically speaking receivers have equally a difficult time having a direct impact their rookie years. I hope this guy signs soon for both PR purposes and of course team purposes. With everyone else in place it makes for an exciting preseason...

All they care about is thier money. If they loved the sport more than the money there wouldnt be any holdouts

The fans care, but I don't think his teammates do, as it's not that uncommon an occurance, and some of them were holdouts themselves.

First of all I don't know of any NFL player that does not play for the money, or there wouldn't be the huge contracts. Second He is going to be nothing more than a returner for the first half of the season anyhow, and he does not need to be in the whole training camp to do that. Lastly as far as the fans impression of him, will be great once he runs a return for a TD. Let me say I wish he would sign soon, because I want to see him on the field when I go to training camp saturday morning.

you think hes there with the agent saying, no wait out for more money...

these contracts are complicated as ****, hes letting his agent handle it and hoping he'll do the right things... the agent wants to get as much as possible because thats what they get paid off too... im sure Ginn wishes he were in camp now, but im sure his agent keeps telling him that the team is lowballing him, hes gotta wait it out to get a fair deal, blah blah...

He doesn't care. Its all about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

If he gets a bigger payday NOW for holding out. Then its worth it for him!

How long does he have before WH tells him sit to the year. Will Ginn get like 2-3 days to miss or that first day he's done.If he is not signed by the third day of camp he should be sitting.I hate that they dont play until thier contrcact is done.I would be ready to play.

**** i have double days coming aug 1 st and im gonna be there.I dont get payed, but laying hits is a good feeling.

Ginn

I dont see how so many people on this site are so mad at Ginn for not signing yet. Has anyone ever pointed the finger at the front office??? Year in and year out our first rounders never sign on time or early. This isn't just Tedd Ginn, but Ronnie did the same thing, Allen did the same thing.... At what point do we point the finger at the front office for not getting it done? Every other team is able to sign their picks except for a handful, and it always feels as if we are in that handful. I dont blame Ginn for trying to get as much money as possible. All you people see is 23 mill garunteed. I wish we could see the bank roll of the dolphins head office to find out how much money they make on these players and how much money they make off of us, then I think most of you would change your tune.

People always think one way, and refuse to look the other way. In that sense, this topic is irrelevant. Ginn's camp is more than likely doing what anyone with an ounce of sense would do -- wait for #8 and/or #10 to sign.

Ginn hurts himself? C'mon man . . . the team can cut you at anytime, they hold all the cards . . . this has been strictly a business for years, its the players right to get a contract worthy of his selection.

People always complain about a player breaking a contract, wanting more money, but noone ever points the team out for not honoring a contract by cutting a player w/ 2 years left on a contract because his level fell off. There is too much sympathy given to a team, sure some agents are unreasonable . . . but sometimes the team does lowball the player/agent.

He will get signed, just give it time. I'm guess more than likely if its just the escaltors left to be done . . . the team will give in to TG's demands so WH doesn't look foolish on his threat of sitting out a player if they hold out.

djavelin, How much will it take to sign the honey on your avatar to play for me.....

Ginn is not going to blow people away like they think he will. If he does not sign in the next few days, there is nothing to say that he wont hold out as long as he gets all he has coming to him. This is why I have stated from the get go that this pick was a huge risk. If his scrawny body gets hurt now, we will begin to witness a big money bust. This is my greatest fear with his high ankle injury. Everyone saying how healthy he is now.....well, wait til the pads go on and he comes in unprepared while everyone else is ahead of the ball game.

I agree with this sentiment.
