Miami Dolphins: Ted Ginn Jr., WR
Like fellow Ohio State product Santonio Holmes, Ginn appears to be poised to make a big leap between Years 1 and 2. Also like Holmes, he needs to improve his overall strength and grasp of the offense. He became a far more consistent receiving option the second half of his rookie season. And with Marty Booker back in Chicago, that should open the door for Ginn to claim the No. 1 wideout spot.

I think he will be a really good WR has great Speed good hand needs to get More Strength and i think he will be good

We will see. Ernest could beat him out just because of pure experience, but it wouldn't matter. Ginn has a lot of potential, I can't wait to see how much better Ginn and Beck have gotten over the Off season. I'm not worried about his hands, I just hope Beck won't lead him into traffic and get his head torn off. I'll be optomistic and say Ginn breaks 750 yards upcoming with a few touchdowns to get along with. I'm expecting more of a rushing team this year.

i don't see a "leap" so to speak..the only leaping will be because of the lack of involment in the offense last year. he showed greatness when called upon last year only dropping 2 balls. alot of his talent was hidden by a crappy st squad and a coach with no cajones to use him any other way than decoy. he was just as talented last year as he will be this year with the exception of a more polished route running/familiarty with the teammates and being alil bigger.

huge leap

I'm willing to bet that he has a huge leap. As most Rookie WR's don't have break out years untill their 3rd seasons, I think Ginn's going to see a huge increase this year (2nd) due to a much improved line (additioin of long?), a top 5 Running game, a bigger TE & FB (protection) will all open up the passing game. Even if Beck doesn't have a break out year, he will be better then last year. So I truly believe Ginn's numbers go way up. EW may win the WR1 spot, but Ginn will still start the season at the least WR2 & not WR3 as he did last year. Not to mention Parcells will make sure this offense opens it & has a long game, most likely why he brought McCown in (who has good arm strength), but who I doubt wins the job.

So yeah I'm betting Ginn uses his speed & post 1000+ yds & 10 TD's.

Go Fins.

If McCown or Beck can become the first consistently good Dolphin passer in Miami since perhaps Jay Fiedler, giving Ginn a steady QB to catch passes from, then i have all the confidence in the world Ted Ginn will quickly cement himself as one of the best number two receivers in football. But again, what will we get out of McCown and Beck? Fiedler was not Dan Marino by any stretch of the imagination, but he could at least deliver the football, play well enough to win games, and you knew that you'd get the same production out of him pretty much every week. If John Beck is taking sacks like crazy, and becomes a turnover machine one week and then McCown comes in the next, it's going to be hard for Ginn to develop when he lacks chemistry with his QB's.

I agree, that Chemistry's huge in the NFL. And I really believe that w/the Addition of Smiley & (hopefully Long) we have a much improved O-line. Actually, the line started to come together last year & I bet that he gets sacked a lot less. I'd also bet that after the draft, some other teams who drafts O-lineman, will let go of a quality veteran & hopefully we'll be there to scoop one or two up. I think we're already improved & will get even better on the lines. O & D.

With the additions of Grisby and the interest in that DB from Dallas I think Parcells is setting up Ginn for greatness in the return game.

Ginn was a bright spot in the WR corps with Camrillo and Peele. Ginn caught everything his way and got open all the time. The offense that we ran didn't really use Ginn's ability's to the fullest. Hopefully with Brown back and a great run game that will open the door to PA bombs to Ginn.

I'm still waiting to see that deep pass and watch Ted just blow right by everybody. Even if he only does that once next year, I'll be satisfied. I hope he has a good season. I think what we need more than anything else is Chemistry... but hey that's just me.

he has the talent to be very good...he just needs some players around him just like Beck....I think he'll have a better season in 2008

Ozzy rules!!

Wilford could beat him out for what? Either way they will be our top 2 receivers. And hopefully for many, many years.

Yeah, either way they are both on the field. If anything, the #2 is in a better situation because he gets the #2 CB on the other team. I know 1 thing, teams better stick their fastest CB on Ted, or they are getting burnt to a crisp
