Ginn, Satele Impress At Mini-Camp

Great news. The 2007 Miami Dolphins rookie draft class looks promising and has a ton of potential. Lets all hope they can reach it.

''He was everything I thought he was and then some,'' Cameron said.
This kid had met and exceeded his coach's expectations everywhere he's been. And I'm sure he'll do it again in the NFL.

Dolphins | Cameron impressed with Ginn

MiamiDolphins.com reports <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/22/nfl">Miami Dolphins head coach Cam Cameron was impressed by WR/PR Ted Ginn Jr. Cameron said, "As a returner, you can see why he is what he is. He just catches the ball effortlessly. The one thing as a returner, and I don't think (general manager) Randy (Mueller) and I have shared this with you, a big part of playing in this division is if we thought we could get an impact punt returner, we wanted a guy who had handled punts in tough weather. He's from Cleveland and he played in the Big 10. Now you go to Buffalo, you go to New York, you go to New England, now he's back there returning punts, and you can see where it's just natural. The first thing they have to do is catch it. No matter how fast they can run, they have to be able to field it. I though for a first practice, he was everything I thought he was and then some. There are a ton of receivers in this league who want to have no interest in being that punt returner. That's why first and foremost he was brought in, to be the punt returner."

thats a larger version of the press conference. just thought id let you see how cameron tries to justify taking a punt returner 9th overall.

Get over it already. It's been quite obvious he is just trying to take pressure of him as a WR. Cameron has already moved Chambers to make way for Ginn and had been working him hard at WR this OTA making him work on his technique.

I know what Cam is trying to do, but still every time he talks up his return skills (8 returns a game maybe?) I can't help but cringe. But at least he can make an immediate impact.

oh my... dont compare him to desmond howard man....ouch..he was a major bust for the redskins(4th overall) ...but had success LaTER IN HIS CAREER... i get his point though...the speed is real..! and that IS awesome.

I was also impressed with Satele and Ginn. Ginn looked good in the returns. He did not do too bad as a WR. He found the ball. He had some drops and his returns were not as swift as he is used to in OSU, but I think it is part of getting to know the offense. I think Satele did a great job. I got to see a lot of film. I like him in the pass protection formations.
I was also impressed by Mormino. I know that he was moved to the second team due to a false start, but besides that he did a pretty good job.
I like the job that Beck is doing. I like the way that he is reading the defense. You can actually see him reading and deceiving the DBs.
I thought Mauia did a good job protecting, but he seemed a bit slow in practice. I think once he puts the pads on, the monster will come out.

Also, at defense, I like A. Wright. I was nice to see him there in the absence of JT. Lorenzo Booker will be a nice mix with Ronnie. I can see them together: Thunder and Lightening.
Fields has a monster leg. Who else am I missing? Smith did alright. Did not see much from him. Soliai is huge, but I did not get to see a lot of him.
I guess that covers it.
