Ted Ginn just put up his best numbers so far yet all I hear on here is a ton of cry babies still complaining about him. Has it ever occured to anyone he is getting better?

Calvin Johnson has still yet to do much of anything. Reggie Bush for God sake has yet to amass a 1000 yard rushing season and this is his 3rd year in the league so I suppose they are suppose to trade him as well. There are a ton of guys drafted who didnt measure up until 2nd 3rd or 4th year in the league and Ginn is just the same. I guess just because you are taken with the 9th pick to the Dolphins you are held to a higher standard. Give me a break.

The bottom line is Ginn is better this year than last year and possibly that is because we actually have some what of an offense now. Maybe just maybe last year Ginn was the least of our problems.

With Noddle Arm throwing the ball now I believe you will see Ginn get better and better week after week.

You guys make it sound like everything is Ginn's fault. He is one reciever and last year was a wash so you might as well consider this his rookie year.

Im flabbergasted that people are still referring to him as "noodle arm" when he had shown just the opposite.

Perhaps those of you referring to him as "noodle arm" havent seen the games, and I will accept that as a valid excuse for the nickname as to not seeing the 20 - 30 yard DARTS he throws

Uhh...let's go over what he did....

Ran out of bounds twice at critical points in the game. Once when we needed a first to keep a drive going (subsequent missed FG next play) and once when we needed to keep the clock running.

He failed to field a punt again, which bounced for another 20 yards...luckily there was a penalty.

Dropped the next punt...

He did catch a number of passes including a critical one on 3rd down to keep the timekilling drive going...

You can't just look at the good things and think everyone is going to jump up and down for this kid. HE IS STILL MAKING CRUCIAL MISTAKES. Take the "Ginn-colored" glasses off...

Oh and Bush by the way...took two to the house on Monday...there is no comparison here...Bush is establishing himself as a legitimate pick...Ginn is not.

I agree with you, most rookie WR's take until their 3rd year before they truely start to make an impact.

Using R.Bush as a comparison is fairly useless, the guy was unstoppable in his rookie year and only because Deuce went down in year 2 did he suffer. He is not a every down running back, he's a versitile player that is used to create mismatches when lined up in different positions.

This thread was good until you called him noodle arm. Hes playing some of his best football of his career and has been one the main reasons for our recent success and you continue to make fun of him...sweet fan you are.

Ok just for the cheep seats here.

All the mistakes you refer to Ginn making are rookie mistakes. In my opinion I dont think Ginn recieved much NFL coaching last year so in my opinion this is his rookie year.

Second if you claim that all these things he is doing wrong and the coaching staff is still putting him out on the field then I think you need to point the finger at them not Ginn. I on the other hand believe he is starting to come into his own little by little due to better coaching and an all around better attitude on the entire team.

Oh yeah and if your only reason for saying Reggie Bush was a legit pick simply becuase he took two to the house on Monday then that is sad. Plus it took him 3 years to do it which is also twice as sad. So using your way of thinking if next week Ginn takes two to the house he has all the sudden regained your confidence regardless of all the bad things you just described. You will forgive him of all other transgressions simply for taking two to the house.

Calvin Johnson has over 1000 yards recieveing, 6 recieving touchdowns, 1 rushing touchdown, and 67 receptions. CJ averages more than 4 more yards/reception. CJ has 1 fumble, Ginn has 6.

If Calvin Johnson still has yet to "Do much of anything", what does that make what Ginn has done? Johnson plays opposite a ligit #1 WR and on a horrific team, yet, he's accomplished more than Ginn.

As for Bush? He's absolutely a bust in my mind. No two ways about it. The Texans got the better end of that deal.

BTW...This is the NFL. No year is a "Wash". Good players on bad teams can still put up good numbers. This is not Ginn's rookie season. It is his second. Like it or not, where you are picked goes a long way in determining your status as a "Bust" or not. I don't care if you like it or not, it's simply reality. It's reality for every other player in the NFL, and it's reality for your favorite players as well. Every player is judged on the same criteria in an objective sense for overall performance, whether you like it or not.

I think everyone here hopes Ginn does well. I sure do. IT would thrill my socks off if Ginn proved to be a standout WR in this leauge before his rookie deal is up. At this point, the jury is still out. He seems to have started to get better in some areas (Getting off the bump this last game) but, regressed in others (Returning). He made a big catch this last game (Great!), but then, right away followed it up with a bonehead scamper out of bounds. That coupled with not even trying for extra yards on a third down play, electing to scamper out of play is worrisome.

Look I have accepted Pennington as our starting QB which was hard for me to swallow because he was Jet. Sorry but if you are expecting me to fall in love with a guy simply because he is a Dolphin now it wont happen until he takes us to the play offs and wins a championship.

So it's ok to bad mouth Ginn and call him names but not ok to call Pennington "Noodle Arm"? Give me a break. Why may I ask is Ted Ginn fair game but Pennington is not? Neither one has won a play off game for us. Neither one has taken us to the promise land but it's ok to trash talk one but not the other.

I wasnt even trash talking "Noodle Arm" that is just what I will always call him and it's not even meant to be disrespectful. I used to make fun of Marino all the time for his inability to run but loved him to death on the field.

People just need to grow up and stop taking stupid names like "Noodle Arm" so seriously.

How old are we 5?

I stopped reading after "Noodle Arm".

I understand you dont agree with the Ginn Naysers. But can you honestly say you dont understand understand why Ginn is being critized? This year was the perfect year for Ginn to breakout, with their being no other receivers stepping up aside from Camarillo. Pennington is playing very well and giving every receiver a chance to make plays.

And Ginn hasnt fully come out of his shell, and he is not helping his cause by going out of bounds a yard shy of 1st down,

So a punt returner and situational back is a legitmate #2 overall pick?

Gotcha.

Look...I didn't bring up Bush...the poster did. Did I say that he "has established himself"....NO...I said he "is establishing himself"...and when someone scores two TDs on long returns in a game THE SAME WEEK YOU DOWNPLAY HIM...it kind of makes for a pathetic argument...now doesn't it!!!

Let's see...let's compare the ***** that runs out of bounds in critical situations vs. the player that scores two TDs....HMMM....

As stated in my first post (which was obviously a very good post seeing you didnt respond to it), you obviously DO NOT watch the games.. yes, calling him "noodle arm" when he has proven to be the exact opposite, shows your 5 year old age..

Also, you do not have to be a fan of Pennington to see the obvious, which you do not see, again, showing your [5] age

So a punt returner and situational back is a legitmate #2 overall pick?

Gotcha.

a guy that scores 23 touchdowns in his first 35 professional games (including playoffs) is a legitimate pick.

for comparison, our own legitimate #2 pick (we all finally agree on that now, right) scored 15 touchdowns in his first 35 games.

the difference in offensive yards? Ronnie +10 yards per game. So with Reggie, you trade off 10 yards of offense per game, but add in dynamic return abilities and 50% more touchdowns.

....but yeah, Reggie's not legit.
