is ginn the fastest player in the league? I honestly think so as far as straight line speed. what does everyone think?

I think there are people on this team with a faster rate of accelleration than Ginn.

Keith Traylor could out run him with a sore leg, because Tedd would forget which way to run and would run backward before he started running forward. Either that or Tedd would be afraid of the finish line and would not cross it for fear the finish line tape would give him a paper cut. Either way my money would be on Keith.

i would agree...he has the fast straight line speed and he just needs to get better instincts on running through holes and not just trying to out run someone by going straight through a pile...idk

Justin Miller is the fastest... chris johnson is much quicker though, only cuz he has small stride...

dont we have Todd Bowles or something on our Psquad? he wa an olympic hurdler, he's probably faster than ginn..

ginns kinda fast though.. stil ldoesnt burn DB's like i thought he would

Ted ginn isnt all that good of a football player. he doesnt have the instincts for a 1st round pick. he may have speed but he doesnt have the toughness nor the ability to make people miss , at least not on special teams. he could be a #4 wr for some teams but i dont think he was worth a 31 pick on. I will give him this year before i come flat out and say he is a bust.

before? you mean the one rookie season where he was coming off an ankle injury, got into camp late, had the likes of Trent Green, Cleo Lemon and John Beck throwing him the ball. Had Marty Booker opposite him to take the pressure and attention away from him, and he still had over 400 yards recieving. 3 returns for TDs, 2 of which were called back due to other people holding. you call someone doing those things, in their rookie year on one of the worst teams in history, a bust? pathetic

People on finheaven tend to think players are a bust before they have really been given a chance.... its really pathetic

If he averages 87 yards a game for the last 4 games he'll have a 1000 yard season in his 2nd year. Chill out dude.

And that's with nobody else on the team that requires a double team. Pretty much every big time WR has somebody else that requires big time attention from the D:

Boldin --> Fitzgerald
Jennings --> Driver
Moss --> Welker
Marshall --> Royal
Owens --> Witten, R. Williams
Wayne --> Harrison, A. Gonzalez

You get the point. WR's don't usually break out until their 3rd season, and he's looking prime to do that. He can't help where he was drafted. He's doing fine.

I think you just did. I am getting so tired of the Ted Ginn bashing on this website. Check out these stats.

Player A:
Year Rec Yards TD's
2005 29 446 3
2006 30 506 0
2007 83 1202 6
2008(YTD) 68 1085 6

Ted Ginn Jr.
2007 34 420 2
2008(YTD) 47 651 1

Player A is Roddy White, who is having a pro bowl type season. After 2 years White had 946 yards receiving and 3 TD's. Ginn already has 1071 yards and 3 TD's with 4 games left. That does not include Ginn's rushing TD this year or his punt return last year. I am sure there were plenty of Falcons fans that were calling White a bust in Atlanta after his first 2 years, ya think they are happy they have him now? It takes time to develope as a WR in the NFL. Ginn keeps improving every week, give him a chance.

Personally I could care less if Ginn was fastest or not. His speed isn't all that relevant. What is relevant is his ability to play and catch touch downs. Something he has not always been down with yet. But even I will admit he has looked a little better. And we could always look for an upgrade at receiver. As our receiving core is not the greatest in league.

I agree i could care less but Jammal Charles is faster and there are some others.He would give anybody in the NFL a run.
