Its been a while since Ginn has been a discussion on here compared to the frequency he used to be bashed. Now he deffinetly played better once his role was diminished. He didnt drop balls, hell he even made some very good catches with good sideline awareness. Look how poorly TJ Hooshmazilla played when he was a #1 guy. Some guys just arent #1 receivers, but that doesnt make them worthless. I am a Ginn fan and I know it stems from his days as a buckeye. He was amazing for us and thats hard for me to let go and alot of you have never seen it. I know he is soft and dosent take hits, but hear me out. He is clearly not a #1 WR. If we bring in a True #1 guy he could be a real threat on this team. When the double coverage goes to the new #1 we desperatly need, he can and I think will, be a totally different player. He gets seperation and is open deep alot. When Henne gets more comfortable with his reads and his pocket presence we could be a very dynamic passing team. Now some one like Marshall with Ginn, Hartline and Bess would be very scary for opposing defenses. Ginn is not going to be worth anything in trade, so what is the down side of keeping him around for the remainder of his contract. Camarillo will get us trade value, i like him, but he gets lost in the numbers game. Ginns not made to go across the middle, or be the go to guy when the game is on the line, but send him deep and he is very dangerous. I mean how many time did we go deep to him? Why not? When we did it worked! And when he gets into the game and makes plays it will make him even more dynamic in the return game, he lacks confidence, so he needs to be used right to get that confidence working for him.

Let the bashing begin.

PS. I was more disappointed by him than anyone this year, I just know if we let him go he is going to come back to haunt us!

I've said it before and I'll say it again.... Ginn has never been used right

yes, he was taken too high.... get over it... hes not a #1 WR, so dont expect him to be

he is a return specialist and big play/deep threat

if anyone watched the Pittsburgh Steelers this year, Mike Wallace is exactly how Ginn should be used on offense... he should be the #3 WR and come on in 3 WR sets.... he should be thrown 2-4 deep balls a game and hope he comes down with a few of them.... he should also be given 1 or 2 reverses a game and hope he can break one

I know alot of people arent thrilled with him as a returner, but hes a big play guy... he had 3 returns for TDs his rookie year (2 called back), he had a KR called back last year as well as a PR in preseason, and he had 2 KR's for TDs this year.... while it may not mean anything since some were called back and 1 was in preseason, it still shows big play ability

theres NO EXCUSE to have Bess returning punts... he may be more sure handed and will consistently get you 5 yards.... but Ginn is a homerun threat.... in 10 punts, he may return 3 of them for negative yards, have a couple small gains, but I'm willing to be if hes back there consistently, he'd break off more than a few 20+ yard returns

and I think Ginn has trade value.... as you saw vs the Steelers, teams still see him a major return threat (which is why the steelers squibbed it and kept it away from him).... he can be a very good #3 WR/deep threat and return specialist

he'll never be that in Miami because theyre a conservative offense, and prefer sure hands and consistency on returns

since the dolphins will never use him correctly, if they can get a mid round pick for him, I'd jump on it.... a team would surely give up a 4th or 5th round pick for Ginn

bottom line.... Ginn is not a good fit with the Dolphins... hes much more suited for a wide open offense with a vertical passing game

I think Ginn to Baltimore this offseason for a mid round pick is a possibility.... Baltimore needs more playmakers at WR, they can use a KR with Webb tearing his knee up and wont be back for the beginning of next season, he can stretch the field with Flacco's huge arm, and he will be reunited with Cam Cameron (someone who obviously sees something in him since he took him #9 overall)

Baltimore doesnt exactly have a wide open passing attack. They like to run the ball and play defense as well. i do think Ginn and Cam Cameron definitely deserve each other though.

At least some of Ginn's issues are partially mental so my hope is that he could turn into a decent, perhaps even good receiver, if we sign a true #1 and the focus is no longer on him. It may be wishful thinking on my part but he has no real trade value so I'm willing to give him one more season. But if continues to drop passes in the preseason, I would cut him. It doesn't matter how open he is if you cant rely on him to catch the ball.

ya Baltimore definitely isnt a wide open passing attack, but they take more than a few shots down the field

Ginn would be give Flacco a deep play threat

Guys, C'mon now we drafted the whole ginn family, we can't just get rid of the whole family can we?

No offense, but that's ridiculous. No way is it worth it to trade Ginn for a lousy 4th or 5th round pick. He's worth more as our deep threat 3rd WR/KR than a lousy 4th or 5th round pick.

The guy is as soft as they come. You can't teach him to be tough obviously, because if anybody could we would have seen signs of it by now with the coaching staff we have . He lays down at every given opportunity and that has got to irk the living dog crap out of other guys on the team who lay it on the line and play hurt week after week BECAUSE they look for contact. One way or another, Ted Slim is outta here. I'll be thoroughly shocked if he's part of this team next year.

LOUSY 5TH ROUNDER
PICK #154 OF THE 5TH ROUND
7 TIME PRO BOWL PLAYER
1773 TACKLES
he is also one of three players to record one hundred or more tackles in each of his first ten seasons

ZACH THOMAS WAS THAT "LOUSY" 5TH ROUND PICK

So you think using him right is to use a roster spot for plays which could be made by a 5th round pick? No thanks. He is a waste of a roster spot. I hope the FO trades him (for the stick of gum they can get) and get someone else in here.

Do you even think that anyone would trade anything more than a 4th for him. I don't. I don't even think he is worth that...

He has done nothing as a "deep threat." People talk about how he is "double covered" and he "spreads the field". I don't buy it. I saw our receivers get just as open, if not moreso with Ginn off the field.
