I know that I am not an avid poster, in fact this is my first, but I am a daily visitor to this site. The conversation in the boards is normally very good. I do, however, have a complaint about some avatars and sigs that come up from time to time. You, as mods, do a very good job on keeping on top of this, but I do see some pics that are a little too risque for my liking (see d-day, mor911, etc). I realize that there are people out there that closely associate sex with sports, but there are also those of us that don't. Please keep those things in the Ladies Lounge, some place I choose not to go. After reviewing the TOS, this is a standard anyway.

The lamblasting will start now, but I just wanted to voice my opinion to make this a better site for those like myself (just for the record, no, I don't like guyly pics either, just my-wifely pics).

You have the option to turn off avatars and sigs so you don't see any of them.

User cp> edit options> thread display options> visible thread elements> uncheck avatars and sigs.

hmmm was this account made just to anomously post this thread? in defense of Mor911 his signature is football related.

Why didn't you PM or mention this to D-day or I before you posted a paragraph in the complaints thread. Why didn't you tell us that something was offensive before trying to frame us up as immature idiots. If you would have spoken to me like a grown person I may have just apologized and changed my sig. Now I really like my sig. This thread has made me like it even more. So do like the fellas suggested and turn avatars and sigs off.

He's right guys. It's there in the TOS. And we've gotten a little lax with it. Please adhere.

Also, he is indeed a unique poster..

Sometimes I wonder if people just like to complain for the sake of complaining.

Anyways, your sig was awesome mor, that's really a shame.

by "complain", you mean ask that the TOS be upheld?

Well the mods didn't seem to be bothered much by it until someone "complained."

I'm actually curious as to why that is a rule in the first place. You can go to the beach and see women in their bathing suites. Miami is filled with them. It's not like it's some capital sin.

Didn't mean to upset anyone, just giving my opinion. I will turn them off as suggested, although there are quite a few that are fun to look at.

Sorry mor911, I can't PM until I have at least 50 posts, I was going to do this in the first place.

Mor, that sucks. You had one of the nicest sigs on this forum. Probobly the best one. I'll miss it. :(

so let me get this straight.... you normally dont post on here. Its a football site. But when you DO want to post on here, you only do so to complain about peoples avatars and sigs?

Nice.

Come into the depths so I can tell you what I really think about people like you....

We can't catch them all. We do catch a great many, that you are probably quite unaware of.

That's been addressed ad nauseum in another thread:

Anyway, it's a great picture. I'd especially love to know which young lady's bottom is filling it. But we went thru this last year and implemented a policy. Shots of females (namely bikini, etc) are not permitted as sigs, as it promotes off topic conversation. If you want to look at ladies, there's a whole forum for that.

...A great many people surf this site while at work, which means they can't have a big ***-shot coming up on their computer screen because it may get them in trouble somehow.

I see many sites that lable links as NSFW(not safe for work) or SFW(safe for work)...and I see many people getting mad at other people for NOT labeling their links or for posting picks that are NSFW without a warning.

I'm sure we have many people here that would appreciate being able to surf this site without worrying about NSFW photos poppping up out of their control.
I couldn't have stated it any better than these two did.
The crux of it is... that is the policy, and it's been the policy for at least a year. It's not like it's a new concept here. You can either choose to live with it, or not.

I think it's a subjective judgment, best left to the Moderators and Admins of the site.

It's one thing when the sig contains a pic of a chick's @ss-crack or a shot purely intended to be prurient in nature, (a porn pose) but mor's sig wasn't like that at all.

Sorry, but one person's standards shouldn't supercede the good judgment of the managers of this site - who have done a great job at making these decisions in the past.
