This isnt Ricky's 2nd chance. Its at least his 4th or 5th.

also, punctuation would make your post a lot easier to understand.
When people say it's his 4th or 5th I don't understand. Could you explain that a bit more?

Then why didn't you post this in one of those threads. There's only been, like, I dunno ... 7-10 threads about "thank you ricky", "give RW a chance", posted in the last three days here.

Ricky's second chance came when he had worn out his welcome with the Saints and Miami took a chance on him. This is not his second chance.

New Orleans wants rid of Ricky because he's difficult to work with and doesnt get along. The Dolphins say "OK we'll give you another chance-come play for us"

Ricky fails a drug test. The league says "OK, we'll give you another chance- just stay clean for 2 years."

Ricky fails another drug test within that 2 years and the league says "OK we gotta take some of your money, but we'll give you another chance. Just stay clean after this"

Ricky fails another drug test and the league says "OK, we gotta suspend you for 4 games, but we'll still give you another chance. Just don't fail any more tests."

Ricky quits when it becomes obvious that he is about to fail another test and by rule must stay out an entire year. The league however says "OK, you are supposed to be out an entire year, but we'll give you another chance. Re-enter the drug program and serve your suspension over the last 4 games of the '04 season and we'll forget the year thing.

Ricky refuses to accept the NFL's offer and continues to smoke marijuana.

Now Ricky says he wants to play football so Saban and the Dolphins say "OK, We'll give you another chance - come on back."

How many chances does this make? I dunno, I probably left out a couple. At least 4 or 5 though.

Alot of players get traded. That doesn't make it their second chance. I tjust means they are going to a different venue. Just because RW is a little on the "different" side doesn't make him any less obligated to have a second chance. New Orleans and him didn't mesh from the beginning. Look at the scrutiny he was under because of what Ditka did. Then enter the new regime at N. Orleans and you can see where problems would surface. That happens alot in the NFL. Certain players don't mesh with certain coaches or front office people so they are either dealt or cut. But because it's Ricky Williams, and some people choose not to like him, they make it look like all on him. I refuse to believe that. Jim Haslett didn't like Ricky and most everyone agrees than Haslett is a complete arrogant moron. So part of the problem had to be him.

Well I have 2 accept him back now cuz' he's here!! but I dont have to like it. Now He's not the stud from Clemens almamatter, or the guy who married Ditka,..or even the guy who made missin' marino just a little easier. He's feely, He's wanny,...He's a traveling dildo salesman! arrgh! "I feel, Icky! ,...Williams"

Ricky's got his head up his @$$ right now because he owes Wayne Huizenga 8.6 million

You could look at it that way. I tend to think he played every game for us was never suspended then quit(1st chance). His refusal to accept the NFLs offer of coming back is no 2nd chance, because he didn't take it. This is his 2nd chance. Also trading a 1st and a conditional 3rd(1st) isn't giving someone a chance, its not like we were the only ones who wanted him. Us trading for for Boston, now thats giving someone a 2nd chance, his 4th or 5th by your way of thinking.

He deserves the negative until it looks positive. As for his press conference he did not even know why he was back when questioned. You would think his answer would have been simple like for the fans or I miss being with team mates cameraderie etc. Or i would like finish out contract. But Ricky couldn't even answer a simple question. No wonder there are so many doubters. me being among them.
