Yup they are still playing well despite offense completely faltering. Oline stinking plus refs on LAs nuts = no offense.

The defense kept us in the game.
Held Gurley in check for the most part and fought off the officials.
 
I actually came in here to not give the defense credit. You changed my mind with this thread.

Thank you! Like they'd better be able to hold the paltry Rams offense with a rookie QB handicap to ten points!

The offense had to overcome a top ten ranked defense (those guys go HARD!!) which was much more of an accomplishment!

Just imagine if we had some real LB's (aside from Kiko) and some studs in the secondary (aside from the injured Reshad Jones).

Considering what he's working with, Vance has done a hell of a job with this unit. He's recognized his strength in the d-line and has schemed to their advantage.

I'm very impressed.

agreed. Really liking what I've seen from Vance & the boys so far. they made some big strides

I'm hearing a lot about how our secondary is crap, yet if you check our ranking is in the top ten. I love how physical Maxwell plays. He is being used very well in VJ's schemes.

Our D was great, There D feel apart on the last 2 drive.
 
They did fine and without any real standout performances either. Just did their jobs on all but one play.
