Although I dont agree with everything that the team does I do think we all have to really respect the job these two guys have done. i dont mention parcells because i feel he gets props for everything and that neither of these guys get thier proper due. 6-4 feels much better than 0-10 although I am cautiously optimistic. I truly hope these two guys turn out to be longterm answers for us and keep up the good work. I dont truly think parcells is here long term, as he is as nomadic as any person in the league and seems to bail at a whim.

Agreed. I think Ireland especially gets lost in the shuffle, but he's the guy who fleshes out all the possibilities of available FAs, PS's and previously the draft, and presents his recommendations to the Chairman of the Board, The Tuna. I think with Jeff, it's a learning as you go situation as he's struck out a number of times including Wilford, Keith Davis, Boomer Grigsby, Chainsaw Charlie but do believe he'll learn from his mistakes.

Sparano, between his tough love, lunchbox work ethic and his improving field generaliship, IMO, can't get enough kudos. What a hire! As I've mentioned elsewhere, I've heard in interviews that among Cowboys insiders, he's considered one of the 5 best assistants to ever pass through that franchise. He's doing great, of course has a valuable mentor and braintrust upstairs, and can only become even more effective with more experience.

well I was not a big fan of our free agency this year. Loved starks and smiley but think we outbid ourselves but they seem fine and seem to be earning thier money. I do realize that its a crap shoot in the draft and free agency. I admire hsi first day of the draft especially the first 3 picks. langford seems like a great pick I just felt we had corners and wrs that could have really helped us left on the board. I think we did rather poorly overall in initial free agency but picking up Pennington as a cut was a great move. I think ireland will be great for us.

Living in Atlanta, I see firsthand how a new coach and GM can have such an immediate impact. I think the best thing about Sparano is that he said the team would be smart, tough and discipline and we are exactly that. For the first time in years we are watching Dolphins games not marred by turnovers and penalties.

They are their own men, but it's no doubt having the Tuna's approval allows them to operate with a level of confidence that most rookie HCs or GMs wouldn't have.

I hope we don't have quite so many strike-outs next offseason in free agency - we'll probably remember the Wilford signing for a while. Sort of like drafting Eddie Moore, lol.

i wholeheartedly agree with you on that one...i don't know how well Ireland&Sparano and their families are coming to like the South Florida area, but hopefully good enough to want to put down roots and make it their home for a long while...if that could be the case, then i believe GM Jeff Ireland and HC Tony Sparano of the Miami Dolphins could be a great GM/HC combo for us for years to come...Parcells will leave/retire possibly when his contract's up...hopefully those 2 will want to stay and continue to build us and do great things with the team together...

Our strength conditioning team has been able to keep our players healthy this year as well.

BP chose them, so he will no doubt see to it that they have his trust AND the tools(players) to succeed!
