Giving tannehill a alpha WR, stud RB, & seam threat TE couldnt hurt right?

Well given that he's already turned Brian Hartline into a 1,000 yard receiver, I guess my answer to that would have to be "his rookie season."

Clay into the 5th best TE in the AFC and Gibson was having his best year in the pros with Tannehill....I'm not sure how he can make his line better, but many of the skill players he has a direct impact on have been better then before they played with him...

Just having a complete RB who can block would do wonders for the offense. Carlos Hyde would fit. Obviously the OL is a problem but I'm hoping free agency helps. You don't have to have a great OL. You just cannot have a horrible OL.

So why dont we? If i were the gm if i want this kid to make the giant leap i make sure i identify all 3 of these vital pieces for my young qb to grow. No clay is not a seam threat he is an hback learn the difference. No wallace is not an alpha wr but he would be dangerous opposite one. Draft evans outta a&m. Find a stud running back shoulda kept bush but identify one. Do these 3 things and fix oline then watch tannehill grow.

Gibson, and Matthews bboth attack the seam well. So will Keller when healthy.
We need to stop making excuses for Tannehill and let him make the players around him better, that is what the great QBs do.

I would argue RT has better weapons than Brady, Brees, and maybe Rodgers...Those guys just make all stars out of guys like Jordy Nelson, Lance moore, and Aaron Dobson

Drew Brees, Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning, Matt Ryan, Cam Newton, Eli Manning, Philip Rivers, Russell Wilson, Tom Brady, Aaron Rogers, Robert Griffin III, Matthew Stafford, Ben Rothlesberger, Jay Cutler, Colin Kaepernik, Joe Flacco, Tony Romo, Alex Smith and now Nick Foles ARE ALL BETTER THAN Tannehill. I just listed 19 starting QBs. Since there are 32 starters, that makes Tannehill BELOW AVERAGE. PERIOD. If you think that's preposterous then I can't help you.

Of course these 5, 10, 15 years vets are better than a 2nd year QB. Geez, that's illogical..No!!

Eli just three ago wasn't even considered Elite, he had to force people to believe he was, Drew Brees was let go by first team, and he they hated him in San Diego his first three years, so much they drafted his replacement in his second year there. Cam Newton was considered a big cry baby, and he was playing so poorly in the first 4 games this season, that people in North Carolina was calling him a bust. Aaron Rodgers couldn't stay healthy until his fourth year in the league. The Packers didn't what they had in him, so they ended up drafting Brian Brohm the second round. Matthew Stafford was another injury prone QB who recently became consistent. I would wager his stats have a lot to with OH MEGATRON. and the fact that he's had the SAME OC, Scott Linehan from the time he got their. Oh Geez Continuity. Joe Flacco has always been surrounded by a great team with great leaders, and he's numbers are underwhelming, until the last 6 games of last year. He also had to force people to believe he was a top tier quarterback, just 12 months ago. Alex Smith, was considered a BUST until just three years ago. The 49ers thought so highly of him they replaced him. While throwing more Int. Ryan Tannehill still have a higher passer rating than Smith, More touchdowns, and yards than ALEX SMITH..And IF YOU COMPARE THEIR FIRST TWO YEARS IN THE LEAGUE THE STATS DON'T EVEN COMPARE, T-Hill is light years ahead of him. NICK FOLES? THAT'S LAUGHABLE. Wait until they have more film on we shall see..T-Hill has more yards, touchdown passes and a higher rating the Colin, Rivers was this close to just getting released in the off-season, they thought he was done.

RYAN TANNEHILL PLAYED A GRAND TOTAL OF 16 COLLEGE GAMES AT QB, WHICH IS LESS THAN ANY OF THE GUYS YOU MENTIONED PLAYED WHEN THEY CAME OUT. T-HILL IS ABOUT TO HIT THE 30 GAMES PLAYED PLATEAU REAL SOON, WHICH IS WHEN YOU NORMALLY STARTS TO JUDGE AN NFL QB, SO WE SHALL SEE..

Sometimes I wonder!!

At some point, he needs to start to make HIS weapons better. I am not down on him and want to give him more time...I think he has done some good things. However, he needs step up his game.

I think if our line continues to improve...our offense is going to suprise people. And I mean this season.

I wish people would stop using Nick Foles in their arguments. Totally results of a system at the moment. The system by nature will give you gaudy stats.

Not saying Nick wont be great..but..compare apples to apples people.

Offensive line and a running back that knows how to hit holes like Ricky did.

Jordy Nelson is a lot better than any receiver we have on our roster.

Brian Hartline made it to 1,000 yards receiving last year despite having no ability to work the inside of the field, no consistent ability to gain YAC, and marginal ability to get vertical on people. Ryan Tannehill has absolutely made players like Charles Clay, Brandon Gibson, and Brian Hartline better in terms of production. Charles Clay is not some amazing, complete player. He is a solid H-Back. A solid H-Back who is producing like one of the ten best tight ends in the NFL.

Rishard Matthews is easily the most complete receiving threat this team has on the roster, and he's a raw 2nd year player who is stuck behind two guys with huge contracts who won't be hitting the bench any time soon for reasons totally unrelated to performance.

Why don't we just see of we can have the AFC pro bowl roster to put around Tannehill while were at it

Jordy Nelson is that good? So Cobb and James Jones are better than anyone we have too??

Ah.... why yes! Why didin't we think about this all along!

I'll get right to it.

Stud WR? Calvin Johnson clones are a dime a donzen.

Stud RB? Adian Peterson clones also dime a donzen.

Stud TE? I'm sure Jimmy Graham can be cloned?

Spot on! People comparing him to vet QBs is sickening.

And some of those Vets were considered "busts".

if you were a packer fan and there was no aaron rodgers youd be saying the same thing about the new packer qb. when are most of you gonna realize a true franchise qb makes everyone better? tom brady has pretty much had nobodies all year on offense yet who is in 1st place... AGAIN??

Giving Tannehill an alpha Left Tackle, stud Right tackle, and a versatile Guard couldn't hurt......

So why don't we?

Jordy Nelson is that good?

Who on the Dolphins roster is in his class? He's much more athletic than Brian Hartline and much more polished and physical than Mike Wallace.

Highlight videos don't tell the whole story, but tell me who on our roster can make all of these plays?

Brian Hartline isn't breaking tackles after the catch or burning guys like that. Mike Wallace isn't running routes that well or coming down with those contested footballs.

Aaron Rodgers is a much better quarterback than Ryan Tannehill, but let's not pretend for a second that he 'made' Jordy Nelson. Jordy Nelson is one of the best receivers in the NFL and far more complete than anyone on our roster. Multiple plays in that video where he breaks tackles or jukes guys out of their cleats. Multiple plays where he catches a tough ball with a guy all over him and contesting it. We got nobody who can do that except for maybe Rishard Matthews, and he's certainly not at that level of play yet.

If you honestly think we have receivers of his caliber on this roster, you are as nuts as someone who thinks Ryan Tannehill is as good as Aaron Rodgers. Ryan Tannehill is better than Matt Flynn, however, and Jordy Nelson made Matt Flynn a very rich man.
