Giving tannehill a alpha WR, stud RB, & seam threat TE couldnt hurt right?

So why dont we? If i were the gm if i want this kid to make the giant leap i make sure i identify all 3 of these vital pieces for my young qb to grow. No clay is not a seam threat he is an hback learn the difference. No wallace is not an alpha wr but he would be dangerous opposite one. Draft evans outta a&m. Find a stud running back shoulda kept bush but identify one. Do these 3 things and fix oline then watch tannehill grow.

Well..... We did 2 out of 3 of those this offseason. Didn't work out so well so far.

Cornfed is what we need.. and lots of it.

if you were a packer fan and there was no aaron rodgers youd be saying the same thing about the new packer qb. when are most of you gonna realize a true franchise qb makes everyone better? tom brady has pretty much had nobodies all year on offense yet who is in 1st place... AGAIN??

go look up this years stats for Tanny and Brady, they're almost identical...except Brady has 7 picks and Tanny has 11.

Yes, that would be great. And add a better OLine and I think THill will be set!

I would never knock anyone for wanting to accumulate more weapons for Tanney or even for upgrading him out. But I just think before we go there, we have to assemble a much better o-line. I think this is one of those years where we resign our good players on O and D, then focus on our most pressing needs like OL, LB, CB and TE. I think the weapons improve if we handle these positions first.

Of course, GM has to be first and foremost IMHO.

And no o-line still? Better hire Harry Potter as our GM.

Oh I missed that part @2x 1000 yard season, 5+ Td/Yr, Pro bowl Wallace not being an elite receiver  Who do you want? Lebron James to play receiver??

There is a reason Marshall left and became a beast again... Wallace can do the same.

Sometimes the problem is within.

It's a known fact that QB's need the best EVERYTHING in order to succeed.

If I were GM I would do whatever it takes to get Jimmy Graham in S. Florida and we have the money to do it. I believe there will be other good TE's available out there as well.

Tanny needs a big time TE. Every great QB out there has one.

Then build the Oline in the draft and one or two FA.

This team is still primed and has depth at alot of positions with youngins just waiting their turn. So the main idea is to upgrade wherever you can. So I get the OP here, but WR is not going to be built on getting a Calvin Johnson type unless we get lucky value wise. If you believe Evans at A&M is going to be a stud, then yeah, maybe.

I think Tannehill is on his way. He needs more time to throw and disect. But he has done quite well playing tough teams. Wallace I believe will be much better next year. High-priced FA are often like that. Not living up to contract first year, but then get it second year. There is no alpha in this offense. Only guys who get open. Wallace will be much more comfortable in this offense with another offseason.

We also are not seeing the fruits of this years draftpicks yet but that will blossom. Its just the nature of the beast. That is why I dont understand alot of people's opines around here saying guys suck before they have any chance to develope. Charles Clay did not play much his first year. Now he makes play after play. 3 Years.

3 of those 11 are garbage picks too I believe.

I just always remember Peyton Manning his first two years. year 1 the Colts won a couple of games and he threw like 24 picks or something. Next year he threw 20+ but the teams was much better. Then he didnt become great until just before his 7th year when his contract was up.

tannehill is about as clutch as a snowball in an oven...brady is the definition of clutch. one guy makes the entire organization look better than it is and the other is probably gonna get half the organization fired within the next 2 years.

And how many teams have a Tom Brady out there? Brady is an outlier stats wise. im talking math not football stats.

The WPA stat here addresses clutch play:

Notice Tannehill is currently 22nd in the league among quarterbacks.
