i love all my fellow fin fans and all that but from what im reading it seems like some of the people on this board have already thrown in the towel for this season after the 3rd pre season game. with people saying how henne stinks, to how we need another qb for this year bc penny cnt get it done, to how our offense is horrendous, etc. people r overeacting like ive never seen fans of other teams do. its the pre season only this is no indication whatsoever of how r team will be come week 1. the team isnt actually using its regular season playbook and revealing what is to come, so yes it may look alittle ugly at times. bottom line is it was ugly lastnite but who cares its just pre season it happens, but dont let this make u get ur hopes down for the reg season bc i can guarentee u what we saw yesterday will be nothing like we r come week 1. will we have r ugly games like yesterday during the reg season maybe once or twice? u bet we may as everyteam has that stinker once in a while. but overall i feel very confident about where we r as we only improved from last season and penny with 1 year under his belt with the offense can only make him better and not worse. so lets all keep the hope at its highest just like we had before pre season, and dont give up on those hopes just because of one stinkin pre season game. LETS GO FINS AND KEEP THE FAITH.

I'm not throwing in the towel, but the oline couldn't open up running lanes, the dline wasn't getting much pressure, and the secondary wasn't covering. Those are basics no matter how much or little of the playbook is used. I'm not saying this year is going to totally suck, but I am a little worried about how the start of the season is going to go.

I'm definately not throwing in the towel. I am as diehard as it gets. However, just being realistic, we were terrible last night. Its all worth talking about because these are major concerns we have for our beloved FINS. O-line was terrible, there were open receivers running around in our secondary all night. Maurice Stoval???? Who is that??? If Leftwitch didnt overthrow half his passes we would have been down by 21 at half. These are major concerns we should all have. There is no way to sugarcoat that performance last night.

I have to agree with the earlier posts....last night wasn't an issue of throwing in the towel...it almost became a issue of waving it.

The Dolphins were the team that was a division champ...the Bucs are a rebuilding team with new coaches...yet even with that...add the fact that they didn't have their top receivers playing....didn't have a QB that could hit wide open receivers for easy TD's...the Dolphins barely beat them.

I strangely got a feeling I was taken back in time...to 1982...just waiting and wanting for the 1983 draft to arrive.

We were bad last night. Very bad, but I am not going to go off like a lot of posters I see on here. I understand that this is indeed still preseason, they played 3 games in 11 days, and they are running basic plays.

I don't think what he saw last night truly reflects what this team is capable of. The starting offense hit a wall last night against a bad Bucs defense, but they moved it with ease against a good Panthers defense last week. So, obviously, you can not trust preseason results.

When this team steps on the field in Atlanta, it will be a regular season game and the players will be more pumped for it then an August road preseason game.

Obviously we still have things to work on, but at this point of the preseason, so does every team. We had a bad night in a preseason game. That is it. End of story.

By the way for those keeping score at home, the Dolphins defense has only given up two touchdowns all preseason.

I dont think many of us are "throwing in the towel".. But last nights game was a rude awakening to just how not ready for prime time, we are..

In the previous two pre-seasons game, we pretty much had success at dictating the play.. however against the Bucs, they were the ones dictating the play.. The final (score) outcome of the game and all the 2nd half stats mean nothing as this truly was a practice game... However had this been a real game, I think we would have left Tampa with our tails between our legs..

Couldn't agree more. Heck, it also feels around here as if we lost the game....lol

Sorry but where did you get that Tampa has a bad defense? Before lasts night game...Tampa had the 3rd or 4th rated rush defense in preseason.
Last night they showed why.

The bottom line is, if we play in Atlanta the way we did last night, then we need to be worried!!!

...And if we play the way we played against the Jaguars or Panthers, maybe it's the Falcons that need to be worried.

here is my take on where we are aat, and I could be wrong but I have been a little grumpy because if you look around the league other teams that were bad have made big improvement but the fins are improve on defense but my woories isnt the defense its our oline , te's and wrs I simply dont feel good about these areas right now .

I am not down but i am really concerned about how we all have put Parcells and company on a pedistal when really have they really improved this team from last year ? because I am having those same vibes from 2004 and 2007 when we had bad seasons then.
