Glad to see our improves OL

Did you expect us to fill all our OL needs in the first 3-4 days of free agency or something hoops???

no but there's no reason they should have not come away from the first day with 2 new starters lock starters in free agency on the oline...there's a big difference between having even 3/5 of your line and having 2/5...i guess people may think there's not but there is

and to sit on that money it just doesn't add up to me...all these other moves dont much matter to me the oline was and is the biggest problem and we just seem content to let it ride...the qb got hit so much last year that i figured they'd do everything in their power to add established veteran presence with at least 2 fresh new faces they can trust protecting him...lazor and benton gonna earn that money cause they gonna work for it now...hickey too cause the pressure will be on in the draft to hit triples...

^^ yes

How much better would it be had we gotten Beadles instead he went to Jax, it's not like we didn't have the cap!!

I would certainly feel better

We still need 3 starters not depth...starters

Makes me wonder what were planning with this cap we have left

and beadles isn't even special...it's just that you know what you are gonna get with him...like you can put him in there and feel confident that he's not just gonna blow chunks on ya...i mean a difference of $1 million per and we walk away...really??? on a guy that in 2 years you can probably move on from worst case 3 if you want...

maybe they didnt watch enough video of tannehill unable to complete his drop before contact...need a refresher

if you install 2 rookies even in your oline and get them to play solid or right the ship so to speak you're pretty much hitting the lottery...it's hard enough to get one...i have seen so many teams try to fix oline issues in the draft and all they do is get worse...like years and years of nothing but misses...i'd like to think we would be an exception but with the personnel fits i saw last year for the scheme on the oline especially it's hard to give em benefit of the doubt even...

chicago spent like 10 years it seemed trying to get a solid oline together...they hit the lottery in 2013 with a 1st and a 5th round pick no less...but they got more failures than you could count trying

Here's some of the more prominent names avail now

Tackle--
Penn- would he play right prob not
Oher
Streif- canceled visit
Clabo
Stewart
Winston

Looks shaky outside of the guy that just canceled

Guards--
Wharton
Boothe
Jerry
Colon
Waters
Joseph
Dahl
Nwanreri
Colledge
Wade smith
Shelly smith

Lots of wore tread in that group, Shelly smith is young and in town, but certainly limited experience and no lock for a starter.

Everyone in the world knew we needed 4 OL starters and we got one guy, logic would say have 2 solid targets to lock up. And ease the pressure on such a weak group

Yeah Beadles wasn't special, but he was predictable... That's it, plus it just takes more pressure off using a high pick on the OL and could allow that flexibility if a play maker is avail

I would have liked to have seen another signing for the O-line, but no need to panic. There is a long way to go.

There is still plenty of time before the season starts but I am disappointed with what we have done with the o-line so far and what's left in free agency. I don't see our o-line being good enough when the season starts. Hopefully they know what they are doing.

I started this same thread this morning and everyone seems to be saying that there's no need to panic "cause it's only the 3rd day of free agency"....SO WHAT? Most of the good ones are now gone and we sat there and watched it happen. It was a great start by adding an all pro LT but that gives us 2 starters when we need 5. No rush? We haven't won in 40 YEARS!! What are we waiting for? Do you guys just want Tannehill to get killed again? I didn't think we'd get 4 starters in one day but we "should" have 2 new starters by now. Those of you complaing that we're worrying too soon will be the ones complaining when the season starts and our o-line is just as bad as last year unless we fix it. Do you guys think we'll get 3 more starters on draft day? Someone even said we can get some guys that will get cut later on......lol......is that wat we're doing? Waiting for someone to get cut?....smh.......this are the kinds of decisions that have "help" us not win in 40 years!! You can complain about all the threads while we'll complain about all the sacks and lack of a running game!!

Ozzy rules!!

The line was considerably better last year when Martin and Incognito were gone. And that's with Sam Brenner playing C. Tells me it's all about chemistry, not high round picks. Couple that with the new offensive line coach who knows a thing or two more about offensive lines than the previous one, I consider myself being in the "no panic yet" camp.
