Yup without the rookie scale, Eli was able to get PAID as well too, meaning the Giants were able to sign less free agents. With the new rookie scale, the Redskins can now sign RGIII and be able to go after big name Free Agents as well.

That is highway robbery. When people were talking about us being in play for trading up for RG III, they had no clue how much it would have crippled us draft pick wise. I think we're still very much in the Peyton Manning sweepstakes. I don't buy that he signs with anyone before meeting with all the teams he has interest in and then sitting down with his family and choosing the right place. Either way, I think we end up with Peyton or Flynn. I am fine with either.
 
Seriously? 3 first rounders and a second. Wow that is a lot to pay. I love RG3 but if they are wrong that franchise is screwed for years.
 
in other highway robbery news, in the AFC East

the Jets just made Mark Sanchez the 6th or 7th highest paid QB in football

he will make roughly 2 million dollars more than Aaron Rodgers next season......
 
That steep price will put a ton of pressure on RGIII ... and Shanny AND Snyder.

If RGIII's really good ... maybe OK ... but odds say < 5% chance

It all heads South from there ... if he's ave or worse ... they just pissed in their 3-year cereal supply. Heads will roll swallowing all those Pissy-Os.

P.S. Let's hope most of these QBs work out ... so a few more fall to us in the coming drafts!! lol

Schefter is garbage.. its an ESPN policy that all reporters and analysts must be garbage to work for them.. It is surreal how fast Shefter went from being one of the best (when he was with NFLN) to one of the worst (at ESPN)... no biased.. he's simply bad now.
 
that sanchez extension is shocking to me...rex ryan is gonna ride or die on sanchez like lovie smith did for years with rex grossman...and he'll probably end up walking the plank for it in the end...
