Glazer: Redskins acquire 2nd pick from Rams

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the 2nd best football related news I couldve heard when I woke this morning. Of course right behind Peyton Manning flies back home to Miami to sign with the Dolphins.

NO RGIII for me!!!! The worst possible scenario is now off the table.

Good things the Redskins are pretty much stacked everywhere and have no other holes on the roster to fill. Oh, wait...

Third best was suckchez signing an extension with the jets. Been good news after good news :D

Looked up the deal on the value chart ... Washington did pay a huge premium for RGIII. Equivalent of #1-19 over the value of the #1-2 pick

RGIII Value: 1-2 1,900 points

Washington Value:....1-6 1,635
................................2-38 520
2013 1st = 2012 2nd 2-38 520 (will vary with standings)
2014 1st = 2012 3rd 3-70 240 (will vary with standings)
Wash Value Total:.......2,915 points

Washington gave up a premium of an extra 1,015 points = 1-19 1,010

you kind of have to throw the value chart out depending on the prospect . RG3 would be first pick in alot of drafts. If RG3 fails its a bad trade if he succeeds its a great trade its that simple. Like I said I would trade Jake Long, VOntae Davis and Jared Odrick for Andrew Luck and most 1st rounders may be worse players.

The Skins fans won't be saying that when they win two or three Super Bowls in the next ten years! People say it was too much of a price to pay, but, it's similar to the Giants trade for Eli and look how that turned out. I wish Miami had pulled the trigger. We'll see, only time will tell if RGIII is worth the price.

Two or three super bowls?!

They need 54 more players with equal potential to Griffin first.

Alright, 52. But last time I checked Orakpo and Kerrigan couldn't play RB, WR, TE, CB and O-line in addition to their natural positions...

Well im sure they do have more talent than that but we as phins of course see a superteam here when in reality we have not even had a .500 team in three years

In this case you have to ask if 3 first round talents are equal to RGIII. Of course no one knows the answer to that question at this time but the odds of that happening are slim, at least I think so.

Kuddo's to St. Louis for getting a King's ransom for that 2nd.

Did you forget that having Sparano as HC and especially Henne at QB cost us multiple wins every year? Moore went 6-3 for us last season. With a legit HC and a good QB we win at least 3 more games than we actually did each of the last 3 seasons. That adds up to playoffs. Washington has all the way around blown for several seasons.

GET REAL Dlockz. Youre hating on the phins even more than you usually do the last few days. I even saw you post that Ronnie Brown dosent blow. When he was in a phins uni, youre about the only poster who I could get to even come close to suggesting that he does blow when I wanted to for years. Now that he dosent play for us I guess in your mind he's pretty good huh. Youre even making statements in other threads that the Jets are just a way better team than we are. Quit being the worst ever.

the problem with the washington trade, for washington anyway....

the way I see it... they will probaby win 4-6 games... that's probably going to equal a top 6-10 pick.... they dont get to pick til 2nd round....

the year after... perhaps they improve, perhaps they dont... I'd say I have no idea how they think they will improve... and their record would be similar.. probably another top ten pick... with no pick in the first round to address a major need again...

you see where I'm going here...

washington could potentially give up 3 top ten picks and the additional second rounder for RG III!!!! IMO, thats far too much.. what pieces do they have to compliment RG III??? santana moss? ryan kerrigan? this team isn't very good. I can see trading for RG III, but i can't see how you do it, to the extent you do it, and you don't even really improve your team much IMO... I may very well end up wrong though.. never know.
