GM and OC on shaky ground..for what it's worth

GMs time is up. Ireland needs to be replaced for the following reasons

He has been here 3 years on his own and has yet to put a decent OL in place since the first day he got here. Incognito did not pan out as a FA and Martin is a finesse player who could not pass block. He has been bull rushed continously since his days at Standford. Could not resign Long and when he did not couldnot find a decent answer to replace him. Guard play has been poor and that includes the Jerry pick who has been out of shape his whole career.

Ireland has been poor at drafing WRs/TE talent other then Clay who is really an H-back.

His LB signings of Ellerbe and Wheeler back fired this year and both did poorly against the run which needs to be first priority for Lbs.

Dion Jordan was not effective and we wasted two picks on him as Vernon earned the starting job and was one of our best players. The 2 corners he drafted did not contribute at all.

Patterson is good player but was injured most of the year. He has a history of being injured.

What big plays did clemons make this year?

On a positive note, Grimes was great and should be resigned. Not enough GM positives for Ireland to stay.

On the coaching side, the offense has been outcoached since the New Orleans Game. Sherman, OL coach, and QB coach have to go. That Texas A and M playbook has to go.

The big question is what to do with Philbin. I like him but the next GM should decide that and may be best to find a GM that will allow philbin to coach one more year and prove himself in the same way that rex ryan did this year.

Think about it. If rex Ryan would have been fired by the jets I would be lobbying for the phins to bring him in as our next HC.

Somehow,Philbin will survive this. No surprise at all.

The biggest problem I had this year was that other teams were constantly figuring out our snap counts and there were no adjustments made that I am aware of. There is no excuse for that happening as often as it did. I also wanted to see a bit more of the zone-read from Tannehill and get him moving more, the lack of creativity really bothered me all season long.

Well, if Sherman and Ireland are fired, that would be fine with me. I would agree with keeping Philbin for a 3rd year.

The fans need something to get excited about, there will be little to no excitement unless Sherman or Ireland or both are fired.

Hopefully we have a decision by the end of Friday. If Ireland isn't fired the fanbase will go ballistic.

I just don't see Ireland getting fired and NOT Philbin , New GM would hire his coach of his choice which I hope would be Jay gruden !!!!

Well at least it's a good sign change is coming. Yesterday it was not sure Ross was going to do ANYTHING. I agree with the Ireland and Sherman should be fired and the new GM should decide on Philbin, which is ok with me. Ross has got to get it right with the GM this time.

Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports is reporting that Stephen Ross is seriously considering an organizational shakeup. According to the report, Mike Sherman is almost guaranteed to be fired. Jeff Ireland could also lose his job. The most shocking revelation from the report states that Joe Philbin is likely to return in 2014.
Of course, if more details come out and as Ross and his advisors have had time to think about this, plans can change. We will have to wait on Thursday and Friday to find out.

Second-year offensive coordinator Mike Sherman is considered the most likely to be fired, and sixth-year general manager Jeff Ireland's job is also in jeopardy. Coach Joe Philbin is likely to return for a third season, the two people familiar with the situation said, but that's not a certainty.

ESPN made a mistake. I have it on good authority that Jeff Ireland just got the job last Thursday, and he only got "Final Say" on the following Monday.

Here is my problem with keeping Philbin, what GM is going to come in and not want to be able to pick his own head coach?
