I say we go after Scott Pioli and separate once and for all the relationship between coach and GM. Saban was obviously overwhelmed by it. We need to get a good executive in here with an eye for talent.
Mueller may be up to the task. Then hire a coach to be... a coach. I don't want to see us ever go for a college coach again. They can't handle the pros.
My top 2 candidates would be Cam Cameron or Ron Rivera. I would at least interview Dom and Denny to see what they bring to the table.
The point is we need a good organizational structure in place first, with clear separation of duties. And we need to hire a top-notch GM first.

Mueller has a proven track record so we just need to concentrate on a head coach. With that said, if Wayne H. decides to go in another direction he should make sure that the HC and GM are on the same page (similar philosophies) and moving in the same direction.
