Woody finally gets it right (after years with Tannenbum), appointing Charley Casserley and Ron Wolf to hone in on an up and coming GM who in turn hired his own up and coming Head Coach.

Or will it be equally insightful and successful football luminaries including Tannenbum, Dawn Appnte, Higgins and Garfinkle (what? no Simon?) hiring an HC to report to whatever figurehead Tannenbum installs to carry his jock?

We are doomed IMO Another half-assed process orchestrated by a half-assed league washout.

Your thoughts?

If Tannenbaum Is in a john elway role then we have no idea what the future holds.. If Tannenbaum wants every big free agent. We can call him john Snyder and we are screwed

Inventing new ways to throw tantrums about Tannenbaum running operations is not going to make him go away.

If Tannenbaum is going to run the show then it only makes sense that he should pick his coach.

No sense in unearthing fossils like Casserly/Wolf.

Well like they say, the proof will be in the pudding. Maccagnon was allowed to hire his own coach. Do you really think Bowles, if he had a choice between an up and coming GM with autonomy vs Tannenbum and the figure head plus the figurehead he puts in would choose the Fins? Especially after the owner left his old HC out to dry when trying to hire Harbaugh?

Any HC we get is almost doomed to be the fruit of our poisonous tree.

On this we agree.
I would have preferred that Tannenbaum simply assume the GM role. Though not sure if the Rooney rule allows us to do that.
This is why I think Chris Gaine is simply going to be elevated. Rooney Rule and FPA flanked and eliminated.

I really think that our future coach will be someone who has a relationship with Tannenbuam. So there wont be that much angst.
If we hire someone else color me shocked

He cant offcially assume the Gm role not that it matters with all the shady crap that has been done. Im assuming we may get enlightened when Hickey gets fired.
Not sure why we want a coach that has had a relationship with Tannebaum, why limit the field to so few good coaches

If Campbell gets the job fulltime it just shows how inept our search was lol.

Also Ross needs to quit thinking we are so close. Get a damn coach with a vision and make it happen. This idiocy that we are just so close to being good is beyond silly.

They are also clueless about Flexibility in the contract that early. Its not a bad contract but Tannehill going anywhere will hurt the cap

I never thought I'd be envious of the Jets as long as Woody was the owner, but finally he got it right by entrusting the direction of the franchise to seasoned, accomplished outsiders with no ulterior motives. Now with old Ralph Wilson dead and Woody having a brain transplant, Ross is far and away the most hapless owner in the division if not the league!

I'm going to throw this out there and see what floats:

Bill Parcells is a huge influence in this whole process right now. You're about to see that with Grier being our new GM (Parcells guy) and the rumblings that Miami wants a veteran coach (Mora and Marrone now being mentioned more and more).

You know of my contempt for the Tuna by now, Vaark. He screwed us bigtime. He needed cash after losing money on the horsies, so he came to Miami to try his Wildcat experiment, and when it didn't work out, he bailed. But of all the people involved in the Dolphins right now, he's by far the most savvy when it comes to winning football. Maybe he will help the Dolphins pick better people this time.

Parcells has helped screw us for the past 7 years you would think another football mind would enter the picture for advice but I agree its all about PArcells, Tannebaum and him are besties

When has Parcells ever helped the Dolphins pick better people?
