Hey fellas, I'm creating a poll on when we should start the draft this year. The free agency has gone by MUCH faster than I anticipated, at least compared to last year. I'm considering moving it up from March 29th to March 22nd. I'm gonna see what everyone else thinks about this and put that into consideration. Also, this is mainly for the Pats GM, when would you rather start timewise? I'm thinking either 8AM EST or noon EST. Hell sometime in between is fine with me, I just want to make sure you'll be online and be able to get the selection in ASAP to keep things moving. Thanks.

how much time will each GM have to make a pick? I'm probably going to have to send in some of my picks via a list, but just curious.

Normally we do 5 hours in the first round and 3 hours in the 2nd and beyond. We may change it to make it a bit longer but I'm not quite sure yet.

I totally agree on the 22nd. I don't think we can start at 8:00 am EST though, that's 7 AM here, and 5 Am on the west coast. I think it makes most sense to start at 11 or noon EST to accomodate the west coast. That's 10 or 11 for me.

We'll start like 11AM EST then, if that sounds alright with you.

start it sooner so half the league doesnt lose interest like in past years

Start time doesn't really matter to me. But I do find it humorous that we are going to start later to accomodate people..but the draft runs 24/7 so the guy who's pick comes in at 2am on sunday isn't being accomodated. He'll be thinking "if we started 4 hours earlier it woud've been 10pm."

Hey! I don't want to wait 4 hours to see New England make their selection if we start it at 8am

Besides, people just need to make their bulletins, I'm up til 2-4 AM anyways... hopefully the committee I assign can handle the morning though.

NE can make a list just like everyone else. In fact he's already said he's picking McFadden...Pick #2 on the clock.

Fair enough, but if I remember correctly, we started at noon last year...

I don't know when we started last year....just saying. It's funny we're letting the guy with the first pick choose the start time. That's the only pick in the entire draft that "accomodates" someone and he probably could make the pick right now.

I don't know, I wanted to start at noon or eleven being that's when I thought we started last year so it still works out.
