I remember watching that game at Hooters...Oh such a long time ago back when i was just a little Phinfan
 
yea for some reason the rob konrad run at the end of the game stands out in my mind...
 
I remember that game. Chambers was on fire. He led the league in YPC that season with 18.something.

I thought we were going to the big dance after that one!

Yeah, right around there. I know Mora had an outburst after the Colts lost to the 49ers; can't remember if that was before or after this game.

This game marks the high point in Wanny's Dolphin coaching career. Up to that point under Wanny, the Dolphins had a 20-8 regular season record, a division title (and should have been headed to another one), and a 1-1 play-off record. After that game, they split their last 4 games, settled for a wild card game and got drilled. After that game, Wanny went 22-23 and after that season, never made the play-offs again.
 
I was at my girlfriend's employer's Christmas party that night at some fancy country club restaurant. She was so mad at me because I wouldn't mingle or schmooze with her co-workers and sat in the bar all night watching the game, with a bunch of other disgruntled husbands and boyfriends. Well, she is gone but my love affair with the Dolphins is still going strong. I too was thinking SB after that game. Thanks for the memory.:D
 
Nice read. At the bottom of the article it said Manning threw 28 picks his rookie year. WOW, guess that will teach ya ta be patient.
