@MattForte22 Only so many times a man that's done everything he's asked can be disrespected! Guess GOOD GUYS do finish last.

This guy has been continually underpaid and disrespected, as he said, by the Bears. He's been their entire freaking offense the past 2 years! He's not happy, and I think it'd be perfect if we somehow could get him.

You take our crazy, bi-polar, wife-beating Pro Bowl wide receiver, and we'll take your star running back to help build a sick tandem of Reggie Bush/Matt Forte/Daniel Thomas.

GET IT DONE, IRELAND! Make Forte happy and screw over the Bears.

Breaking the bank in FA for a RB is the last thing I want this team to EVER do. Plus we have Reggie, DT, and plus the new kid from the CFL. This would pretty much be the last thing I would want. Nothing against Forte who is a very good player, but No thanks.

Forte is franchised, and we cannot just "go get him". If you are willing to give up the mandatory 2 first round picks to get a non-exclusive franchised player, might as well spend just one 1st round pick on Trent Richardson.

Reason he's mad is because they signed Michael Bush to take away carries from him, lowering his stock as he won't be required to play most downs anymore.

In Miami he will have to be splitting carries with two other running backs in a PASSING offense.

We have alot of talent in our backfield that no one knew how to use in combination.

Yeah, let's pay big money for a free agent RB when we've already got Reggie Bush filling that role. Good call.

Don't expect Ireland to do anything now until after the draft. We'll sit on our hands until every last good free agent is signed by other teams and then we'll be our usual bottom feeding selves and sign bargain basement crap. Then we'll listen to Ireland be the spin doctor he is and try to blow smoke up our collective arses by telling us how happy we are with who we signed and how aggressive we were.

running backs are expendable now, I like our stable of reggie, thomas, messam, and slaton, were set at RB

We only have 7 million in cap room and we need 5 million to sign our rookies so we only can afford bargain players. Sorry we can't afford every single player like they do in baseball.

You mean the often injured Reggie Bush? I am not suggesting we get Matt Forte. However, Reggie Bush does have an injury history and DT was not so healthy his first year in the league. Imagine next season if we lose Reggie for some games and DT. We need a solid number 3 running back IMO.

Then we need to do some contract restructuring or cut some of the dead weight on our team to free up more cap space. Otherwise don't tell us how aggressive we'll be and how money isn't an object. That is blowing smoke up our ass, as they always do.

I think we difinitely need to add a RB. Daniel Thomas blows and Reggie Bush isnt going to have another 1K yard season, if he can even play a full season. We need a RB, just not Matt Forte.

Matt Forte has an injury history, too. And with the kind of money he wants, he's coming in to be a #1.
