I think next year we will address the future of our Quarter back situation in the draft or we may go after Brees or Rivers because one of those guys will be available next year. Maybe even take a shot at getting Leinart. And is you think Alex Smith was expensive wait until they are paying 30 million in guaranteed money for Matt Leinart.
Would like to know everyones thoughts on this so dont be shy say what you feel. And support whichever QB starts this year. Go PHINS

Miami would have to be the worst team in the league to have to pay 30 million to Matt.

I don't want to take a shot at Leinart for the simple reason that we will have to trade up. I think we need every pick we can get, and that means Leinart is out of the question (we won't draft at the 2nd spot next year, you can be sure of that ).

I hope we draft Jacobs or McNeal honestly, good talents and exciting players.

Miami wont get Matt cause we wont be the worst team in the league.

Im partial to pocket passers but any of these guys look ok to me: Croyle (I love this kids guts and heart, not sure about his measureables yet), Palko (see croyle), McNeal, Keller, Gradkowski, or Brad Smith

Here's how it will work.

We give Ricky some playing time this year to show that he still has the skills and can be a top flight back in this league. Then we use him to trade up and get the highest pick we can in the draft to go after the best QB in the draft.

We will probably be drafting somewhere about 8 to 10th. Using Ricky and our first pick should make the team at the top of the board very interested in listening. Of course, this depends on how Ricky looks this year.

So no one thinks we would trade up. Or maybe a team that has the number 1 pick already has a QB and we trade Ricky and a 2nd round pick and maybe a 4th round pick for Leinart.

Too much to give up for that QB

I think Miami will have about 6-8th pick below are my predictions for the top selection order.

1st 49ers
2nd Titans
3rd Browns
4th Redskins
5th Arizona
6th Miami

Maybe Tampa will pick before us.

With these teams which I think will be ahead of us I seriously doubt Leinard will be on the board.

it will be hard to choose because of SoS. If Miami won one more game this year they would of been 9th overall.

Leinart is not a lock for #1 next year. That guy is a friggen moron. He was a lock at #1 for this year.

I think Miami is going to be stuck in the typical Miami drafting section. Which is to say they will have a first round pick that will be mid round...and in past years draft a guy that they didnt want...or get no immediate impact from him. I'm thinking if Saban does want a QB then he will have no qualms with trading up, and of course using Ricky as bait. Im not sold on a bunch of guys yet, but i do like Leak( see sig) and a couple others. Just like every year in college football though there will be 2-3 guys that will make their mark felt this year and could turn the draft board around. This will be updated by yours truly as the season goes on simply because i feel very strongly about drafting a QB next year. Cheers.
