dashon goldson is a free agent this year, and i think he would be a huge upgrade for the d. i know we were looking at him this offseason, but i dont think we offered him a contract.
he has had a great year, and is going to the probowl.
AND he is having a great game today and already picked brees

it would be a huge upgrade (and thats why i wanted him last offseason) but i doubt the niners let him get away
 
He will not leave the 49ers. Why would he leave a team that is playing today and on the right path to go to a team in transition?
 
many of us wanted him last season. this season it will be even tougher to get him due to his improved play

Are you joking? Because how many players have left a super bowl winning team to go to someone like the Raiders or Bengals. It happens all the time, and from what I have read about goldson he doesn't feel the love there and he would for sure here. Also I think the 49ers peaked with the team they have. I would be shocked if they were even near as successful next season as they were this year. I bet they go more like 9-7 next year, with an early exit. The problem I saw with Goldson is he was kinda reckless pursuing the ball, knocked his own guy off the ball twice in the Championship game, even took the one guy out of the game. luckily with the dolphins he wouldnt have that problem because nobody on Miamis D makes plays on the ball. Perfect fit
 
When I first skimmed over the threads I swear I read gholston and I was going to say "what the **** - No!" lol.

But Dashon Goldson = a BIG HELL YEAH. Free Safety is the biggest need on D followed by a rusher to play opposite Wake.
 
the only safety worth having via free agency imo
 
I'm in agreement with the rest of you. I'd love to have him on our D as well,instant upgrade at FS,and Reshad Jones can become our new SS,which i feel he's better suited for anyway.

He have an immediate impact on our secondary and could be our best secondary player.. would be a great signing
 
He was a free agent last year and I dont think anyone, including the Dolphins, showed much interest. What was up with that? We probably could've signed him on the cheap too.
