Gonzalez to Falcons for 2010 2nd rounder

KC and Denver continue to do things that puzzle me....Cassell already has a crap O-line, now you ditch one of his biggest weapons....

This was a great move for them. ATL is going to be a contender again. I'm surprised KC was willing to move him. I thought Cassel would have like having a sure handed TE over the middle.

Good trade for the Falcons,

People say Gonzalez is too old. But he's only 33 and he's in such great shape he might as well be 26. The concern with him is that his passion for football may be somewhat dwindling, and was probably going to just retire after 2-3 more years in KC. But you have to figure thats because he was playing for a last place team with absolutely no shot at winning a Super Bowl.

Now Gonzalez is playing for a contender, with one of the best young QB's in the game and surrounded by all kinds of talent. The Falcons giving up only a second round pick NEXT year is really a steal if you ask me, the NFC is pretty much there for the taking and they just upgraded by filling one of their biggest weaknesses with the best player available. Now they need to fix their defense, and they can address that in the draft THIS year by taking someone like Brian Cushing.

Week 1 Just Got a Bit Tougher

Tony Gonzales traded from KC to Atlanta today for a 2nd round draft pick in this year's draft.

Gonna be at the season opener when Miami faces Atlanta. Hopefully they can handle all these offensive weapons that Matt Ryan now possess. Should be a really good game. I still predict a W. GO PHINS!!

It's incredible what gets you one star around here! He didn't even say we would lose. He just said it "got tougher". Anyone that doesn't agree with that is a moron.

Gonzalez last 4 games agaisnt Miami:

27 receptions, 355 yards, 4 TDs.

Definately not a good thing.

The NFC South is the Falcons to lose. In a weak NFC, they could do great things with a year under Ryan's belt and the addition of Gonzalez.
