"Somehow, I think Culpepper will emerge as a different player in Miami. Nick Saban is a no-nonsense coach, a perfectionist, so expect to see a new layer of seriousness and discipline injected into Culpepper’s game, more leadership and control. I see the Dolphins reaching the AFC title game because of it."

Excellent point on Culpepper. It will be interesting to see how he reacts to a stricter environment.

Remember Vick’s Sports Illustrated cover shot from last year? “I Am a Quarterback!” was the pleading headline. Left out was the “please believe me” part.

I havn't read the article yet but I already agree with your assessment.

CPep is the type of player that is a coach's dream. Now I know I don't have a lot of posts over here but I came over as a Viking fan in the trade, (yeah I bet you didn't know I was part of the deal).

I have followed CPep since his sophmore year and IMO, CPep has always longed for that Coach/Father/Disciplinarian. That is a big reason why he stayed at Central Florida instead of transfering.

In Minny he had Denny and Tice. Both of these guys are "players" coaches. So throughout his career is just been CPep and his talent. No coaching.

Now in Miami he has 5 different coaches and 3 of them have been head coaches. What you will see from CPep in the next 3 years will astound you and everyone else except me and CPep and his family.

Oh and you too TXFinFan...

i guess I should have read the article first as this was not your assessment TXFinFan but the reporters...

That sounds pretty accurate to me. But I still wont even click on a PRO FOOTBALL WEEKLY link. THEY STINK.

Are you sure you don't have them confused with Pro Football Talk? I've made the same mistake. PFW is more reputable than PFT, not that that's saying much.

This is the legit site, not that other crappy rumor site.

I agree with the article for different reasons though. I think Daunte has become alot more serious about his career and how to get to where he wants to be due to maturity etc. He's also the type of guy who does exactly what the coaches ask. Unfortunately, the vikes didn't hire a qualified replacement for Linehan last year.

The Vikes remind me of the Fins in 2003, 2004.
Good players no coach.

Yeah, that's why I put everything in quotes. I wasn't trying to pass it off as my opinion. :D Welcome aboard. I'm glad we got another good fan along with Daunte.
