It was well documented Norv hated Feidler

I don't think this is documented at all. I don't remember Turner ever having a negative opinion of Fiedler. You may hate him, Norv didn't.

I take it as he is talking about the time of Seau and Knight also. But what offensive FA where there when we got them? even though we already had a good defense i would rather bring in probowl defensive players instead of bringing in scrub offensive players. because offense may be fun to watch but defense wins championships.

Does anyone know what offensive players we passed on to get Seau and Knight. this way we could see if it was bad timing or if they were the best out there.

That's why I said I can't agree or disagree with him fully. He had good intentions with hind-sight being 20/20. There really wasn't anyone that would have tipped the scales in my eyes for the offense either. At least nobody stands out in my mind. I would have to do like you suggested and go back and look at who was available.

I was just trying to clarify why he might have listed them on the bad list.

2000- St. louis. they had an average defense i'll give you that.

2001- Baltimore. they won on defense plan and simple.

2002- New england. defense better than offense.

2003- Tampa bay. Defense all the way.

i wouldn't put the blame for ricky's over use on turner, wanny had final say on all play's. not to mention, you don't here emeitt complaining.

I wouldn't put Feeley on the bad list. I would put the fact that we traded a a second rounder for him. But that was the MO of WannySpiel. They had no concept of the value of draft picks. Draft picks were just numbers to those two.

I agree with the most of the list except Junior Seau and Sammy Knight being on the bad list. I think they we're pretty good pickups, definitely not bad.
