Good bye to one of "our own"

That's business.

I hate to say it, especially knowing Travis was a lifelong Dolfan, but had he played better last year, he may not have gotten traded.

It sucks, but you gotta move on. I will always root for the guys we drafted to make it. As a fan, I think that it is so awesome seeing a player that was drafted by your team having tremendous success out on the field. It just instills such a great sense of pride, that when you see that player out there, you just say with a smile on your face: "You see that? That's one of our own, making those plays." It just feels good! We haven't had a lot of those guys lately, I was hoping Travis was one of those guys, but it was not meant to be.

Travis is a classy guy, that got to live out a childhood dream, and I wish him all the best in Cleveland.
 
Hmmm, he was pretty bad and he wasn't class at all. He talked crap all the time and couldn't back it up. Good ridence.

Have you met him? Because I have, and so have a lot of the media, and we all felt he was extremely classy.

He's a lifelong Dol-Fan too.

From everything i've ever read about the young man, he's always been a class act..never any problems on or off the field, just comes to work and does his job to the best of his abilities. Unfortunately for him, we found 3 guys who played just a little better than he.. so it made him expendable with the development of Thomas and Nathan...Miami could afford to trade him...that was just business. Our top 3 allen, Lehan, and Goodman assured we could let a guy go, if we had others who were comparable to him, and thomas and nathan were..., but the guy played his butt off while here, I have nothing bad to say about him, 3 years, 3 different coaches, 3 defenses.. He did well.
 
I never accepted him as a dolphin. he constantly got burnt.

I never met him...and so what? He wasn't drafted to be classy...or a nice guy....or a love child of the "media".

Frankly the only reason why he was drafted and became a Dolphin was because his former college coach selected him. He certainly wasn't a college star...and he showed that while playing with the Dolphins.

It's nice he got a chance to fill his dream....but as a Dolphin...he was a nightmare.
 
There seems to be some confusion.

I the great moderator aka situation "unirritator" will clear this confusion.

This thread was in response to the very nice text message that TD sent to the media to pass along to his fans. The originator of this thread wanted to say thanks in return and lend TD good luck during his tenure in Cleveland.

The thread was not meant to gauge the talent of TD. Which by the way was sub-standard and I'm sure even the originator of this thread knew.

Is TD a nice and classy guy? From what I could tell yes...but I have limited knowledge of the guy....maybe in private he bends puppy's tail. But others here have meet him and said he is a cool dude.

Now let's continue the discussion in the direction that the originator of this thread intended amicably.

Any more insults I will post another useless post much like this one. Ya dig?
 
Classy text message.. I will give him credit for that.. (If he did in fact write it, or had a publicist write it)

But unfortunately for him and for us, he helped teams beat us more than helping us beat them. As he may be a good person, he isnt a good football player (for us anyways)
