I mentioned in this board before the Panthers game, will not be surprised a good game from Porter because its national televised.

He proved me right again...I truly believe Porter took it easy so far this season. It can not be that much of a drop off physically or skill wise only one year coming off a pro bowl season.
When the game is showing nation wide, a chance to show his face all over, well then the Porter from last year suddenly showed up. For that, I wish Sparano has the fortitude to get rid of his sorry A s s come off season.

I'm in no way a big Porter supporter but your thread is weak. He hasn't been "dogging" it, he's been nursing a bad hammy most of the season. The extra week off sent a message and at the same time allowed him to get back to 100%.

You are fishing,
Too much of a coincident.

Really you think it's a coincidence that a banged up player gets extra time to heal and then plays better? Thats actually the complete opposite of a coincidence. Something can't be from cause and effect and coincidental and the same time.

To be fair, he also went up against Wharton who is an absolutely awful left tackle. He is very weak when it comes to lateral movement-- that's why he moved to guard ( as his feet got worse and worse).

All-Pro LT Jordan Gross was out on IR with an injury he suffered against Atlanta the week before.

No...it shows that Gross was out and his backup isn't very good...

Yep...I would like to have seen him go up against Gross. My bet is that he gets blanked again against the Pats...or any other team with a decent LT.

We played two Monday night games where he did jack.

exactly

Porter is running on fumes, but having a bad hammy is what made him totally ineffectual

he is neither great nor a loafer he is simply an old dog using guile and guts

Sorry but gross is one man, thats up against porter, taylor, wake, starks at least he would have been sacked by one of these men.

I keep hearing about Porter, but whenever I saw real pressure, I also saw #91 close by. I'm just saying.

The 8 tackles showed me more than the 2 sacks

Ya know what I agree with that. Sure the guy played against a left tackle who isn't that good, but give him some props Porter played his best game in a long time on Thursday. I hope that his hammy will get plenty of rest over the next 10 days so he can be healthy the rest of the way.

He's far too interesting to have on the bench.

He made the first tackle of the game! I was shocked.
