Well that was a typical Jets Dolphins game -- hard hitting down to the 4th quarter....penalties really hurt you guys today but your defense is solid....secondary is a bit suspect though.

Your D line and linebackers are still some of the best in football.

The 0-line is a weak spot on that offense and throwing 43 times in the meadowlands winds is not the way to win.

All in all I am happy my boys pulled out a 10 point win and moved from last to tied for first in week 2.

As for your boy ronnie brown at RB -- give the kid more than two games before calling hima bust...as your o-line improves so will he...he has a lot of upside.

gotta love it when a jets fan has a better grasp on reality than half the phin fans on this board.

good post....we could have won that game....us fans shouldn't be down too much considering they had a strong 12th man ....

Yes it is starting to get old. We have a good team. Yes, the 24 hr rule is still in effect but it has to stop. I was probably one of if not the most pessismistic fans on this board yesterday but after really thinking about it I realized that we will be fine, just wait and see.

I don't think you can say we could have won that game, Gus missed on 22 passes. That's half our offensive plays as no gain.

yeah it was a tough, defensive game out there... tough to win on the road in the AFC east though, we killed ourselves with mistakes, but you guys played well, stuffed up the middle to stop the run and made us throw... worked out for ya, good game

the thing to look at though is we never stopped being aggressive really. we were playing to win.

our defense kept us in the game for pretty much the whole game and if our offense would hit on some of those long balls (gus overthrows) then we would be right in it.

they had some lucky bounces we played physical etc. lets move on to carolina :D

Thanks for the intelligent post. Although I wouldn't say our secondary was suspect - just one part of it - Reggie Howard! Appreciate the true analysis of the game. Good Luck the rest of the way, short of week 15, 'course.

Exactly what I was going to say

Too many non-converted 3rd down's killed us up until the end. I was constantly seeing, Run on 1st down, then 2 pass plays..but they couldn't do much more than that with only 2.7 yd/rush.

Good post 85. Your defense punched our offensive line right in the mouth. That pretty much sums it up. We made some mistakes that kept us from getting back in the game, but I'm not gonna make any excuses for my team. You guys deserved to win the game. It's going to take some time for our team, but I know we are going in the right direction. The real flaw that is holding our team back, is our offensive line. We lack the talent to move people out of the way and make holes for Ronnie. I can't believe all the "Ronnie is a bust" posts on here. Our offensive line is a bust, not Ronnie :yell: .

Nice post. Your team deserved the win. They played a very good game. Your defense was very aggressive. Typical in the NFL. You are never as good as you look in your best games (Mia vs Den last week) or as bad as you look in your worst games (NYJ vs KC last week). Also, you can throw the records out the window in division matchups.

Nice game.

There was actually 6 - 8 dropped passes so you can't blame Gus for all the incompletions.
