It was a relatively quiet weekend in terms of Dolphin news. Of course, it was a rather successful weekend for my currently first place St. Louis Cardinals (oh hell yea!!). But here's what you might have missed this weekend while you were out and about as well as a little Jason Taylor trade nugget I'm tossing out your way.

JASON TAYLOR TRADE TALK UPDATE
You'll remember that about a month ago, I posted this story about the Jaguars being very interested in trading for Jason Taylor. Two weeks later, Armando Salguero (among others in the mainstream media) also hopped on the "JT to the Jags" bandwagon. Well, now another source of mine, a reliable one at that, told me over the weekend that he knows for sure that there is another team, along with Jacksonville, that is highly interested in trading for Taylor. The problem? He told me he "wasn't comfortable" telling me who this team was.

our D had many problems last year and we traded Zach, we are trying to improve...if we trade JT we would have lost our 2 best defensive players and probily the 2 best on the whole team
 
Zach was my favorite player, but he didn't play much last year. Many people were better then him overall. You can't be the best if you're not on the field. I'm gonna miss him.

Sometimes to take a step forward we must take 2 steps back first.
 
I would love to draft Jake Long but if JT were to be sent packing to the Vikings for Bryant Mckinnie I would be so damn happy.We would immediatly become a force on the offensive line and enable us to draft Chris Long and follow up with a very good cornerback with our 2a or 2b pick.

Mckinnie is in his prime at 28 years old,6'8 and 335 lbs,played ball for the U,and I remember reading that he hasn't missed a game in 5 or 6 years.

I think this would be the best case scenerio for us,one can only hope and pray!!!

Do you realize that these guys are in their mid thirties. ITs time to move on. Zach thomas would have been a big liabailty in pass defense in the 3-4.

Why would the phins plant a rumor about selecting Gholston when they have the first pick? The only reason i can think of is to help in negotiations. What do you guys think?
 
JT for Mckinnie would be nice.

I think after june 1st cuts well be looking at saftey, CB and Lb

I don't think Peter King has ever been right on a draft rumor in the decade that I've been following football. The guy knows so little about the actual game, that it's real easy to snow him, and I think teams take full advantage of that.

We'll teams that might want him will wait to see if he falls to them since most teams and scouts think C Long is the man at #1 for us. BP and JI are going to switch it around alittle to see what teams are interested in him alot and see if they will make a move for him. Trying to find a trade down partner. To aquire more picks.
