I don't know if you are in the doghouse or the Trifecta just wants to push you with arguably the greatest WR of all time every chance they get. . . . but you came in and covered Randy Moss damn good . . . and you know what, u did your thing last year, yea you lost the battle . . . but u won your battles to. Keep your head up and keep being a standout on special teams and be readily available if when your number is called. Hell of a breakup on Moss in the endzone.

Jason is a good man CB . . . I mean you can't throw him on Welker . . . Welker will kill him in the slot . . . but man up . . . he can play with alot of WR's and do his thing. Good to see we have alot of talent at CB, that should put a smile on alot of peoples faces going forward . . . and I wouldn't mind seeing some more Jason Allen going forward.

Jason has gotten his share of heat on this board, he deserves a pat on the back when he does well.
 
Jason should be a free safety. It just baffles me that the coaching staff cannot see something so obvious.
 
I'm one of the biggest Jason Allen bashers of all time.
But, he does deserve a pat on the back for that game.
That was one hell of a breakup.

I don't know . . . I think he could be a real solid man cover CB . . . I think he made strides last year and the he got WAYYYY too much heat against Moss last year.

He is built like a FS, I think mentally it may be too much . . . though at times it looks like he is the leader of the secondary . . . maybe he is ready? I honestly would keep him at CB . . . remember he couldn't beat out Cris Crocker last year for FS.

It was the difference between blaming Jason for the loss yesterday and beggin for him to get cut, and making a thread like this for him.

I'm over him being the #16 overall . . . it is what it is . . . if he is one of the best 53 . . . play him . . . period.
 
He has been a pro-bowl caliber player on special teams this year as well
 
I don't know where he'd be best on the field but I have a hard time believing so many players in the secondary are better than him.
 
i find it funny that this entire forum ripped jason allen a new one last year when he played randy moss man to man. yet votae played him man to man yesterday with similiar results and gets praised on this forum. you guys are ridiculous.
 
I think he would have out played Smith yesterday to be honest if he had started all game... Smith did not look good yesterday and didn't even have to cover Moss most of the time .. which is weird because wouldn't Moss be the type of receiver Smith excels at covering? I guess Moss is really just too fast for him in a straight line.. Don't know why else he wouldn't be covering him.
 
He broke up a pass this year, and last year broke up another to Moss that was an easy INT for Bell. He has made some good plays for us.

Crocker is now the starting free safety on a very good Bengals secondary...
figures.

but yeah Jason Aleen played well yesterday, hopefully he'll see more snaps with allen being out. hes done an excellent job in special teams aswell
 
I think Allen will never get credit for good play because he was a 1st round pick. Allen has become a special teams' ace and a reliable dime back
 
What game were you guys watching. If Vontae didnt come back in the game, we were going to get TOASTED all day with Allen out there.

He made ONE good play to break up a pass. Other than that he was being picked on the whole time he was in there. Even the announcers pointed it out. Tom Brady was going to throw Jason Allen's way the whole game if he stayed in there.

Jason Allen was eaten alive when he was in the game. Get real.
