Good manning news. Hopefully true

remember when EVERY NEWS SOURCE IN THE WORLD said that the dolphins were completely out of the PHILBIN race and no talks were scheduled? he had gone home to take other calls and weigh the options he was already given. all of the big time reporters and writers verified this as gospel.

this could be the same m/o the finz brass are using again [to their credit] beautifuly!! i'm just playing devils advocate here. you really think teams dont do biz off the books? grow up. manning lives behind the dumpster on the south side of the stadium, and he being so close, not that hard to get messages, feelers and clandestine meetings set up. the dolphins already know, and have for some time if manning has any interest, if their players at all for his services. the tour he has taken, the order of it, means nothing. never did. he lives in miami! he is coming back there anyways. he knows the stadium and the teams interest [or lack of it] so if were last, its only logistics and nothing else.

IF WE DONT HEAR anything by the end of today, then i would worry. peyton is a company man and loves the game and respects the nfl. he knows these teams that are interested in him NEED a qb and shuffling his shoes on start of free agency will cost a team or two their plan b qb. peyton [or should i say his wife] knows EXACTLY where he is playing and by early, REAL EARLY tuesday morning it will be anounced. not only not wanting to hurt other teams plan b's, he knows he needs to get with his new club and get his offense installed and working the playbook, calls and protections with his players. the players from indy he says are a must to join him need to be worked in starting day of f/a so they dont get scooped up with some unseen super offer or if they decide they dont like peytons new team choice, his club can be players in f/ for ones he needs.

I AM NOT BUYING into the FLYNN IS THE PLAN ALL ALONG talk. yeah, rodgers says he is all that, top 15 of all time, but what is he going to say when asked, "what do you think of matt flynn"? he isnt going to say "good back up, worth a shot for a decent contract, but dont break the bank". he knows flynn has the opportunity to get paid and his statement was NOTHING more than to help a brutha land a sweet deal. PROOF? the pack didnt franchise him. he is a QB, and they are THE premium need and they command big money and or trade. even iffy ones like kolb make bank. you cant land in f/a with more hype than flynn has. what has happened is they gauged the interest in flynn and it was no where near what they were hoping that 6 td game would give them. teams are much more wise since the kolb bust and they are not buying into the flynn HYPE, which is what it is. so franchising him was going to stick them with more money than they want to pay him and have him hanging out with the club way longer than they want.

if thats the case, you know philbin knows it to and isnt going to start his h/c career on a huge money, bust qb deal. i'm just playing devils advocate again. i AM against flynn as he is a bigger risk than manning.

the SMART play, and there is a WHOLE LOT AT STAKE, much more than just some guys being cheezed off on a sports board, and they have to be damned careful on this decision, is to draft a guy like tannehill, who sherman knows well and has exposed him to much of the offense he and philbin will be running. pair that with great young talent like moore with a rebuilt, big time o-line and another wr and thats a solid, smart plan for the near and far future! also doesnt kill our cap, this year and years to come.

it wont suprise me either if the finz have no interest, and never have in manning and his risky injury, age, time off and HUGE salary.

if you dont hear about ANY talk between manning and ross/ireland by the end of today [monday] it was never happening. and as others have brought out, it may be a blessing in disguise, much like "losing" fisher.

the sad thing about not getting manning is, even if he was never in the finz plans, the mediais going to spin it like he was their big plan and once again, ross loses a big fish.

i hate the media!!
