just out of curiousity? i was wondering does anyone know if a 2-6 team at the break has EVER made the playoff. idk its early here at school and i was just thinking...
haha its bad when i do that.:goof:
 
If memory serves me correctly, the Bengals did it sometime in the 80's
 
If only Miami was in the NFC. A 4-12 record (Not that I'm saying Miami will go 4-12) would probably get a first round bye.
 
I believe it was 1970. But the Bengals started 1-6 and won out and made the playoffs. but it was a 14 game season. They won the last 7, just to lose in the 1st rd. of the playoffs. So yes, it's been done before.
 
We need to get back to 6-6 before considering any playoff possibilities this year. Let's get some consecutive wins under our belts, and see where it leads...

The rest of our schedule doesn't look that easy, So I'm going to look just at the KC game and see how we do. Maybe the Chicago game was a stepping stone or were we just lucky. So, lets see what they do against KC, and maybe will get a better idea how far we can go.

i think 1 team has done it but they didn't make it to far lol so if we really get there and we want it that bad we can make history once again lol like the 72 fins
 
What a great story it would be if we were to win out and slide into the back door of the playoffs. Then it would be a whole new season and as Pitt showed last year, you can get to the dance going on the road, albeit only having been done once. However, we have to win at KC first. Lets just hope, have faith, and maybe say a little prayer and see what happens.

in honesty, a whole bunch of teams would have to lose
to get that team in the playoffs. so, your a crappy team
that ends up 9-7 or 8-8 and because 1 ot 2 of your conference
divisions starts losing, its a just a watered down thing.

a LOSER gets a break. and who wants to go in because other teams
lost? there will be a LEGIT good team who will end up spanking you
and embarrassing you. [where have we seen that before]?

like i said, you get there after that kind of record you have a slim
chance, teams have to lose and the teams you play are just
over looking you. it's just biding time till you get SMACKED!!

i'll take the hi draft pic instead of a pretender thats just going
to break my heart and embarrass the franchise!!

Right, lets get a mini win streak going before even discussing playoffs please! 1 game is not a streak.

dude you need a hug and a hobby,not to bash you but your perspective is pretty warped,we have a little glimmer of hope right now,don't tell me you were'nt proud of our team last sunday,enjoy that and lets find a way to beat kc and keep that hope alive,,if we don't then lets talk about our future draft picks and free agents that WILL HELP US GET TO A CHAMPIONSHIP
